You then cross an unlit, pitch-black parking lot, dodging craters in the crumbling asphalt to reach your room. Open the door and you're greeted by red ambient lighting tacked along the ceiling — clearly a "love hotel." All that's missing is a bowl of condoms on the nightstand. The bedside lamp flickers no matter how you fiddle with the switch, more nightclub than place to sleep. Shower time reveals the full extent of the neglect: mold in the grout and tub sealant, a rusted light fixture missing its bulb, broken towel rack pieces abandoned on a shelf, a water-damaged, mold-spotted bathroom door, and a stained tub that looks like it predates WWII. The AC control cable has been crudely patched and left dangling off the wall. The icing on the cake? A sign at check-in offering a $5 credit for a five-star Google review. Motel Rideau Room #24 Mold all over bathroom, holes in sheets & burn marks in various areas of the room. Room#24 holes in bedding towels have stains, not kept up, dirty bedding that includes the bed skirt, dark, lamp broken, cord with no plug-in observed, small bag of ice,very uncomfortable & did not want to sleep in the bed, I felt unsafe. Air conditioner only fan worked very low in room#24 uncomfortable. In room#26 Air conditioner was cool and worked well. Toilet does not flush waste - very embarrassing, only hooks to hang clothing, towels only given if asked (hand towel, bath towel & bath mat). We changed rooms 3 times and each time there were issues such as mold in bathroom, cracked floor, missing bulbs, rusted sockets, disgusting atmosphere. I did not feel like a valued customer. The 3 rooms were moldy and not kept up. The TV, refrigerator & freezer were working. There was no place to get ice.

Avoid. The place is run-down.

Do not event think to stay here. It is extremely horrible place..

The room is damp smells of mold. We couldn’t stay there. Left without spending the night there.

I'm surprised Expedia lists this hotel. My room was much much like the photos. There were cigarette burns in the chair and the bedspread, there were two lamps that barely lit the room at night. The hotel offered "siesta" rates for stays of a few short hours and for legal reasons I can't say exactly what it looked like was going on there for some guests. There were notices about a fine for a missing or stained towel, but when I held several of them to the window light in the morning there were some dull stains on a few of them. I decided to sleep in my clothes because I was uncomfortable about how the hygiene. If my family was with me I would not have been able to stay the night. It was at one time a nice motel on the St. Lawrence Seaway and there was a nice small sitting area by the water.

I will never refer a friend to this hotel . Where they are trying to steal my money for service i never get. I made a reservation to this place an emergency came up i called on time to cancel it. They agree . Now they refuse to make the refund. This is not right,

When I arrive, they took my $300 via debit and maybe wait two hours to deny me a room

Who approved this motel to be up and running? Very dirty shower curtains that makes me wonder when was it last changed. Very old, rusty baseboard heater. Very old tub with paint coming off. The exhaust fan in the washroom isn’t covered. I arrived late at 10pm and the there was no light on the motel sign. Please read the reviews before booking this. I made the huge mistake of relying on the photos they posted on their website. I ended up leaving as early as I can the following morning, lost my 2nd night booking fee, because it was non-refundable. It could have been a gem if it was well-maintained because of its great location by the river.

The room was very dirty, and the common areas were also very dirty. The guy who works at reception is extremely rude and ill-mannered. The staff doesn't speak English or French. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT

Room was not ready until 5PM. Bed was worn out . Floor in bathroom felt like you were going to fall through. Facet in tub was dripping al night. It had air conditioning but was not working and had to open windows to cool room. Window had not screen. There is no door lock other than the door knob. Sign at check in said you could rent a room by the hour. For 235.00 dollars a night due to availability it was extremely disappointing and .will not be back.

I was disgusted as soon as I walked in the room. There is no housekeeping. NOTHING was clean. Never coming here again. I would rather pay an arm and a leg to stay in a clean room than stay anywhere that says Motel ever again after this experience. If you don’t mind stains on the bed, toilet, dirty shower, dirty floors, literally dirty everything, and bugs, then you will be right at home. This place needs to be shut down immediately!
