The room didn't even come close to online photos. Outlets didn't have covers. Cover for bathroom ceiling fan was hanging down. Phone didn't work. Power strip was used to plug in desk lamp that had no switch. Same for bed lamp. I have pictures of everything.

Nestled on a romantic little beach front, the Carolyn Beach Inn & Restaurant was an absolute delight. The rooms were clean and the view was amazing. Do yourself a favour and try the Beef stew and Masala at the restaurant, one of the best meals of my life. The Inn is also conveniently located near a gas bar/Tim Hortans.

Our room was ok, but the bathroom had no washcloths and although a hair dryer was there it didn’t work. Still, clean enough and good enough for a one night stay

Exceptional service and the accommodations were more than what we expected. Next time we will eat in the dining room! Food smelled wonderful. This will be our family’s new stop!

Always a pleasure to stay here. Room wasn't ready for check in, but no big deal. Picnic table we used on a previous visit was missing, but we made do. Will always go back, when we can.

Wonderful little roadside place with beautiful views of Lake Huron and a great restaurant with terrific food. What a find! We’ll definitely be back.

Great welcome on arrival. Jaseem is so nice and friendly. We loved the “home cooked”Indian food at the restaurant! So Dee-lish! The Muskoka chairs by the water were awesome - sitting & having a pint looking out over the water while the warm sun was setting was magical! We’ll be back!

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The check in was great. They let us check in a bit early because of the circumstances we came up there. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not open. It was to open this weekend coming. Lots of parking. The view of the lake was beautiful.

The front desk guy seemed like he doesn’t want his job at all. When we were checking in he never even smile or did eye contact to guests. I mean you’re not working inside an ER or a morgue right? I’ve worked in the hotel industry for years and atleast just simple nice gesture to guests while doing your job would mean a lot to them.. And one more thing why would you do a maintenance work or painting or scraping ceiling just outside our rooms which create too much noice very irritating, inconsiderate, not very thoughtful, very inconvenient we were still sleeping, I had to get up twice and open the door and look what was happening outside and they are painting scraping the ceiling way too noisy at 7AM.. The spot they were working on outside our doors are areas where in there were 3 rooms occupied including us.. I don’t blame the workers coz they’re just doing their job. I blame the management because there are lots of rooms vacant and doing maintenance just outside our doors and windows shows a POOR MANAGEMENT!!

Room was clean but very old. Bed was terrible to sleep on. Bathroom updated but sink not properly attached and wobbled if leaned on it. I know this was not terribly expensive but I choose this because I had stayed here in the early 1980’s and it was really nice. Not impressed this time. Will not be back

Very basic. Not as advertised. We were disappointed. The nicer building was not available. Worth noting that the motel has two buildings and one is not very nice. Not sure what the other is like because we were told we couldn’t switch when we asked. Restaurant wasn’t open and we had planned all day to eat there. Website had no indication it wouldn’t be open until mid-June. We didn’t know until pulling into the parking lot and a sign said it was closed. Room had a weird strong smell. VERY limited / poor wifi connection. Photos of basic room shows wood floors, our room had a dingy old carpet that sounded like Velcro when walking on it.

We were pleasantly surprised with this quaint small Inn. It has two floor level wings and both essentially look out onto a beautiful rock and sandy beach of Lake Huron. The Inn has a restaurant that was unfortunately closed for renovations when we arrived. The manager suggested we just drive into town and try a local restaurant. We did and enjoyed a meal at Kosmo's Pizza, that surprisingly had a menu that was almost identical to what Carolyn Beach Inn had posted. The rooms were all that is needed for a stop and overnight rest spot. The room was clean, TV worked, Microwave worked, full set of towels for two people, soaps and shampoo included. The rooms are dated but have been painted and carpets appeared clean. The AC worked but not adequately...it continued to cycle on and off and only minimally kept the room cool on a hot June night. Obviously non smoking rooms and I did not smell any untoward fumes/smells. I understand the Inn is approximately 60years old. We would stay there again.

Our room was just clean as clean could be. The scenery was beautiful as the sun glistened over the lake was located outside our window-you just sit on the lawn chairs on your porch-very peaceful and relaxing. Only thing that was a disapointment was the the restaraunt was not open for business yet.

Great location but the owner is extremely rude. Would not recommend staying there. Found ticks in the room and the laminate flooring was starting to peel up.

Great location by the water and close to gas/food/highway. The room seemed clean but the fact that someone's stale pizza was sitting in the fridge was not encouraging. Poor lighting didn't help confidence either. Plus the bathroom fan clanked away something terrible.

The room was fine. However, it would have been nice to know the restaurant was not yet open for the season. The website lauded the restaurant and noted being open year-round. The billboards on the roads also praised the restaurant. Disappointed as that is one of the reasons for choosing this location over others.

Beautiful location with a beautiful view but just feels like there is very little upkeep. Broken mirror in the bathroom, fan in the bathroom sounded like it was going to take off. Some of the lights didn’t work. Toilet roll holder barely hanging on the wall. It’s not a bad spot but just needs some love. Beautiful beach on the shore of Huron.

The view is amazing! Wish we got there earlier to try the restaurant and sit on the beach :)

The staff is rude. The room smells like pet urine. The room is dated and not well kept. Wi-Fi is terrible. Don't be fooled by the beautiful picture of the lake. Don't stay here if you have other alternative.
