Hotel is not well maintained. Screen door stops 2 inches before bottom of door frame. Kitchen tap not working. Bed was good.place kind of like the moose statue only standing on three legs.

The room was NOT clean. Didn't shower due to either blood or poop on the wall, along with the soap holder area being gross and around the drain gross. Toilet didn't flush right at all. They have the note saying hold for 3 seconds but....grass not mowed. Something gross and nasty on the curtains and the side of the one bed. Floor was dirty with grainy sand and who knows what. Under the bed was dirty. The key return box was just a regular mailbox so not at all secure returning the key. All I was expecting was clean place to sleep and shower ...not fancy....it FAILED...and their sign on the mirror says it's checked before and after check-in and check out... well...they MAY have changed the bedding but I'm not even sure of that. Couldn't wait to leave. PS...it's a HIGH mosquito area so that's not on them...but not having the grass right next to the rooms a foot high would help. Only positive is they allow dogs. That is why we stayed but would never stay there again. It wasn't a super expensive room but not super cheap either....for the lack of cleaning it should have been half the price it was.

Good for a affordable stay, beds clean. Felt like an old cottage. Kitchen, microwave full fridge.

Pet friendly and common sense staff very accomodating it took stress off my mind after car troubles in my roadtrip. Lowkey simple but clean and friendly will recommend lots!

It is an older property. The room was clean. The price is reasonable.

Lots of parking for truck and trailer Had to sweep the floor, but beds were clean and comfortable Ok for a guys sled trip stay, you get what you pay for and was available

Booked my stay for 2 nights for a snowmobile trip. Could only stay one night as snowmobile wasn’t running properly. Had to leave earlier and when I went to ask for refund the girl at the counter said she couldn’t refund my last nights stay because I booked on-line from hotel.com. Ridiculous! I will never recommend anyone stay here.

Thermostat didn't work, just made the heaters growl at me when i tried to turn it up. One little baseboard was on a separate control so we had it cranked just to keep up, then in the morning we used the microwave and heard a pop, and then no power! Looked high and low for fuse box or breaker box but couldn't find one! I understand old hydro, but why have a microwave in the room if the hydro can't handle it?

It’s a nice motel or as I say a topical motel. Check in easy

The lady was awesome and really helpful. The room was comfortable and warm, however the microwave was broken :/ front desk was very helpful in warming my dinner for me!

There’s always a fine line between good and excellent and for a small town this was a good choice. I checked in late but it was no problem. The lady in the office was accommodating and efficient to get me checked in. It’s an older property as most of these small town motels are but I’m keen on supporting locally owned businesses. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. I wouldn’t let it stop me to stay in an older property. We need to support local businesses. I read all the reviews and wasn’t put off by the more negative ones. I sometimes think people have way too high expectations. I recommend this as a place to stop for the night and get a good rest. The town itself has few amenities but kapuskasing is under an hour before and Cochrane is 25 minutes. So try it out.
