Our favourite hotel in the area. A good distance from Calais when you are going further south in France.

Charming hotel.

We have stayed here before and we have always really enjoyed it. That is why we keep coming back. We liked the warm welcome we received, the very clean rooms, the lovely breakfast with the amazing jam and helpful staff. In fact we will be returning again on our way home in 2 weeks.

Great decor, wonderful owners who were extremely helpful and also of great cheer. Great location and wonderfully maintained, especially considering that it was new in the 1400's. The room was clean, neat and actually had sheets and a blanket rather than the usual smothering comforter that pins one to the mattress that is ever present in Europe.

Seriously wonderful. Clean, inviting, and helpful staff. While it doesn't have all the frills and amenities of a resort, this is easy to recommend in a town like chinon. Charming and simply delightful.

Le site est très joli. Dépaysement total. Petit déjeuner très frais. Excellentes confitures, pain et brioches toutefois il serait sympa d’avoir des œufs pour les gens qui ne peuvent manger trop de sucre. Fromage de chèvre très bon mais l’offre pourrait être un peu plus large.

Lovely building, comfortable room and charming staff. Delicious breakfast. In the best part of town too.

A small but very nice and clean room. The shower was perfect as well as the firm bed, and the French country design of the room was charming.

Först fick vi ett sunkigt rum, mennaedan kom de tillbaka och ursäktade sig och gav oss ett mycket bättre rum.

Nice historic hotel but with a bit of a cold reception and checkout.

Nette Begrüßung, lauschige Plätze im Garten, authentische Einrichtung, schönes Zimmer, bequeme Betten, etwas hellhörig, gutes Frühstück aus lokalen Produkten ohne unnötig breite Vielfalt.

Very quaint and secluded, but near the town center. It’s a very pleasant led property with a long history.

Great location and the was excellent. Breakfast is very good at a reasonable price.
