Left stranded outside the hotel after staff forgot to leave keys, after confirming directly with the hotel manager that we would be arriving late. We never were able to use our reservation and did not stay after paying in full. I called earlier in the day to confirm, and they gave me the lockbox location and code, but upon arrival by taxi (after midnight) there were no keys in the box, leaving us alone outside with no car. I’ve requested a refund from the hotel but they have not responded - I strongly recommend finding another hotel with a more competent operations staff.

What a great stay we had on New Year’s Eve at the Ley Arms.nice clean well decorated rooms food excellent and staff couldn’t do enough Breakfast was plentiful.great way to see in the new year.thanks to all at the Ley.

I really like the people that run it ...you can have a laugh and a joke and their professional. I love the quirky old fashioned styling but it's done in a modern way. The menu seemed basic but the quality of the food was fantastic everybody should try the prawns starter !!! Two dislikes Coffee machine in room too small difficult to use. The noise of extractor fans outside the windows was a constant drone but okay if you're used to noise and not from the quiet countryside. I'm definitely going to visit again and I still give it a 9 /10

Just the loveliest country pub - great service, lovely room, wonderful food - all very well maintained. Couldn't ask for more.

The Ley Arms is a beautiful place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering a trip to the Exeter area. The staff were exceptional and we were made to feel welcome when we arrive in the late evening

It was excellent apart from the evening meal and cooked option at breakfast. My wife had the fish and chips, the batter was soggy. The cooked breakfast items were not up to our expectations, poor quality.

Could not fault anything. Room, restaurant, food, all top quality and taste. Staff are friendly and attentive. Very rarely give 5 stars but would feel very mean not to.

Great atmosphere and the pub and rooms were beautifully decorated. Food was amazing and the portions were big. Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back.
