Everything about this place is lovely! Comfortable, clean, friendly, like staying with a family friend but being spoiled!

Hotel was recommended by Elderflower restaurant and we would definitely agree to recommend this to anyone staying in Lymington, it was all decorated for xmas and was beautiful and festive. Room was lovely and the bed was like a cloud, we will definitely be returning in summer months.

This is our fifth stay and we will back, the location is great for shops and walks. Food is exceptional in a great environment.

The hotel presents an opportunity for growth, as the staff seeks to find their way. Overall, I'm inspired to explore new possibilities for my next stay.

Beautiful boutique hotel, clean and friendly, perfect location to explore Lymington and the seafront.

Hotel is very central. Parking is provided a short distance from the hotel itself (opposite side of the high street). Hotel has a boutique feel but is a little prescribed. Staff were very friendly but felt inexperienced - having loud personal chit chats whilst we were trying to enjoy a pre dinner drink in the garden, laughing at 6am outside our open bedroom window, forgetting to bring morning coffee to our room… this coupled with our rooms expense (not the cheapest) and size (nothing special) it took the edge off our stay and I wouldn’t hurry to return. Restaurant and bar areas all immaculate and food was good.

Everything was good except breakfast service was extremely slow. On the first day it took 1 hour to receive the cooked meal!

Very attractive hotel, restaurant and rooms. All the staff were lovely, but service was haphazard. Requested an iron from the receptionist, but it never arrived. No answer from the telephone in the room either. Had to go for dinner in crumpled clothes. Dinner menu is very good, but our order arrived with an incorrect starters and a tiny overcooked sirloin steak. (It was replaced with a more appropriately sized piece that was cooked perfectly).

So good it should be a secret.

We had a lovely stay at the Stanwell House. The room was lovely and very comfortable, the shower was amazing. Location was perfect to explore the coast and the New Forest

The hotel was superb and the service was furst class.

Wonerful hotel. Lovely room, cosy very clean with everything we needed...nice touches like the Roberts radio....hotel had number of areas to sit and enjoy a drink, bar , conservatory, outside...outside space for a town hotel was super.. staff attentive .. overall would higjly recomend

Perfect location set in the heart of the town

Would stay again, which says it all really.

Can't fault Stanwell House. Eager to return and will recommend it highly.

Comfortable and convenient

Lovely dinner with friends food was excellent. Service at dinner was also excellent. Service at breakfast friendly but slow, only one waitress. Room was very nice but felt it was expensive in that breakfast was extra & for price should have been included. Disappointing that a hotel like this, had very limited zero alcohol options, most places now at least stock something like a zero gin. Something for management to review maybe?
