Room good but working on new build in carpark and rear garden so not 2 happy with Digga driving in morning

Great location and excellent customer service

Breakfast was fine. Staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. Very disappointed that we were not advised in advance there would be major building construction at the hotel. More so right outside our window. In addition to having carpentry work on the doors with tools blocking the corridor inside. A strange phenomenon was the toilet. My wife and I both disabled found it near impossible to flush the toilet. The flushing button was difficult to access and use especially at night.

Excellent service from the receptionist and night porter. Really comfortable bed and superb cleanliness throughout the hotel.

A hidden gem. Staff make the difference with their welcoming arrival and food was lovingly prepared catering for vegetarian and pescatarian. The room was super cosy clean and catered for all essentials a cup of tea or coffee is much needed. Everything was lovely thank you to all the staff every one of you are an asset to the hotel and pub. We will visit again.

Perfect room and location for travelling out of Manchester airport. The pub offers a good choice of drinks and food which we took advantage of on the evening. As we took an early flight we couldn't take up the inclusive English breakfast and so took up the takeaway breakfast option of a juice and cereal bar. These are ok, but having done this twice now it would be better if the hotel alongside their inclusive breakfast rates offered a slightly reduced room only rate for these occasions. That said we'd stay again because we like the location, rooms etc.

This is mine and my partners third time here last time was new years eve 2025 .Very clean rooms, friendly staff in the evening. Meal was nice.

The bedroom was cold. Even when you put the radiator on full heat, it didn’t come back around the room so it stayed cold all the time. The pillows were very uncomfortable. The room was very dark even with all the lights on, the bulbs just aren’t bright enough. On the plus side, breakfast was okay and staff are friendly, but won’t be staying here again

Have stayed here many times, was told pub was being refurbished and so closed, which would of been fine if I had of been notified. I was told on check in that I should have recived an email via Expedia. I didn't... I didn't, because I booked via Hotels.com which was £12 cheaper than booking via the Bull's Head website. No apology was offered, no complimentary warm drink from the make shift hotel bar (room service only) behind reception. Took my cash and no change guven as they didn't have any, so paid £1.70 more than was invoiced. Again no apology. Room had all pub meus still displayed in the room, no one bothered to remove them. Bathroom smelt of stale urine. Toilet didn't flush. On a postive the shower was good and powerful. Room was cold, and electric heater was off. Stripped the sheets and duvet was stained. Room looked tired. Breakfast was pre order inter continental. It arrived on time but every thing was processed and dry. Binned everything and bin bag split covering floor in rubbish and left over breakfast. Asked for a late check out as a gesture of good will and was told this would not be possible unless I paid. Asked for manager Nicky Lee but was presented with Carl, unkempt and rude. I was staying for a family funeral and clearly visibly upset, but Carl was unempatheric. This used to be a nice place to stay in Hale Barns, but no more. Corporate greed is now their objective rather than pleasing the guest.

Chose the hotel as close proxity to workplace. I'm a bit picky when it comes to room standards and this hotel met them, pleasant to the eye, bathroom clean and modern. Amazingly comfortable bed and pillows. Tea, coffee section was well stocked and premium quality I did choose this hotel based on the promise of great meal in the restaurant but this was closed for refurb, so hotel.com need to modify this photo set at this time Breakfast was selected the night before and delivered to the room, but was limited to non cooked items, but was good enough for me Staff were very helpful and despite my mini moan about the restaurant i will stop there again due to the room standard and if the refurb matches this, this will be a cracker of a hotel that I'd happily recommend to friends and family
