Was in a great location to go to cedar point. The only thing with that though is there was a surplus of great lodging, but not much dining. We ended up hitting up the McDonalds on the way to the park to avoid back tracking into town. Amazing room and cozy atmosphere; I will absolutely be staying again.

Pros: Very cute inn and nice property. Good size bed for family of 4 (young adults). Close to ceder point with a lot of amenities:) Cons: Too noisy with cars driving by. Train track is like 10 feet away and so loud. I’m very light sleeper so it wasn’t a good fit for me. Sink is small and hard to wash face, but I guess washing face in the shower works:)

I'm not one to get excited about sheets and towels, especially for a last minute trip, but my goodness, these were delightful! The bed was super comfortable. You can't beat the sport's proximity to Cedar Point, and it sure beat driving home 2 hours. I'd love to give it a shot with the kids some time. The TV was absurdly hard to work (though if I could have figured it out I think it would be amazing.) An instruction manual for that would have been a nice touch.

No code provided to access room. Luckily attendant was available, but he had trouble accessing room as well. Room was clean, newly renovated

Overall a great stay. My only complaint is that you can hear through the walls pretty easily to neighboring rooms. Would definitely stay again.

Did not like parking

We stayed the the Explorer room and it was perfect for our family! Clean, comfortable, and the woman working in the lobby was a doll! Will definitely be back soon!

Im so happy i found this place. Its so cute and convenient for our trip to cedar point. It was so comfortable the bedding and towels were top notch. I will definitely stay here again.

Didn't like the beds. No chairs and no lamps. Small end tables. Lights from outside.

This property was not at all as pictured. There’s no office. The people running the property never answer the phone/do not communicate well. We were told we could check in at 3pm, door code never worked. When we called the number listed we just got a text back saying the person wasn’t available and then a call from a different number saying check in was at 4pm even though we got texts from the business providing our code and saying we could check in at 3pm. The room was dirty and had smashed bugs on the walls. Staff was not friendly. The grounds are not well kept. There was a person in the make shift office one evening at around 10pm who proceeded to tell us about a shooting that had occurred right down the road. Overall just not satisfied. Would not recommend.

It was close to the park and different

This was a very clean spot. It was close to many places we needed to be. The checkin process was a little stressful, but other than that we loved it!

We stayed for a couple of nights at the Explorer Rest & Recreation. When we had an issue, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. For instance, we had a problem with our room, so the staff moved us to another property that they owned for the night until they could switch us into a room that was towards the front!

The property seemed to be a converted motel and the room was very nice and new. Biggest problem I had is that there is no staff/front desk, they gave me a code to access the room but the vode stopped working about an hour after arriving. Then around 9-10pm someone else was trying to get into our room, their code seemed to work but luckily I had the door double locked

The location was great! It’s right on the doorstep of Cedar Point, literally a 7 minute drive. The beds were comfortable. However, the cleanliness could’ve been better. There were dead bugs all around the window and bathroom. The shower curtain wasn’t the right size so water from the shower got everywhere on the floor. The sheets had stains on them and there wasn’t a trash can in the main room, other than the bathroom. We had the bunk bed room and it was so uncomfortable to climb the steps. The wood isn’t rounded so the edges really hurt and for tall people it’s very hard to climb since the bed is close to the ceiling. The amenities also weren’t available, no games in the back or anything. Other than those things, things were great!
