The lady on reception was extremely accommodating and friendly. The bar and restaurant is quaint. The only criticism we have is at the bar manager and the mixologist. We were told by reception on arrival that being a Greene King chain we could order our food and drink via app at our table when we went down to dinner which we did, however the mixologist came over to our table and criticised us using the app as he said he didn’t have all the ingredients for the cocktails we were ordering. So we stopped ordering cocktails and moved on to normal drinks. We ordered some snacks to take back to our room also. The bar manager came over with our order and almost chastised us for using the app altogether which we found highly unprofessional. She then went on to say that they have had huge issues with Greene King site as they did not have alot of the drinks and snacks on the website, we asked her why wasn’t it removed as we had seen she had removed one of the cocktails I had previously ordered surely if she can do this going through the whole menu to do this would save all this hassle no?! We were completely disappointed at the attitude of the 2 members of staff especially as the mixologist came back over to have another go, by this time the bar was full and people were staring at the confrontation. Totally disappointing as the young waiters and the food were amazing shame the 2 senior members weren’t so polite. Nice budget hotel other than this and bed is comfy

Arrived early and prepared to come back. Told room was ready however they normally charge for early check in. No need for these comments. Hotel very tired. In need of paint and deep clean. Bathroom needs regrouting and upgrading the bath or somehow getting rid of marks on bath. Toilet system very loud and needs redoing. Curtains shredded and need replacing. Hairdryer broken however replaced quickly. Noise from other guests with children running between rooms, slamming doors etc. Tv and talking loudly in rooms. So not a great night sleep. However, good car park and staff good. Only stayed for a couple of nights but would not return until upgraded.

Staff were excellent, welcoming and helpful. The hotel does need a little bit of updating however the bedroom was spotless and the bed was super comfortable. The food was good quality and tasty. Definitely recommend this as a quality hotel at a reasonable price!

The staff were amazing and thr food was amazing the staff made us feel so welcome and nothing was ever a problem that made our stay

A very pleasant stay prior to heading to Gatwick for my flight. The ambience of the hotel was great (English country inn). The room very confortable, though maybe time for an updating of the decor. The staff were excellent. Dinner and breakfast thoroughly enjoyed. I'd definitely stay there again.

Really nice hotel and staff. Breakfast options were really good and for the price of the room was really good value for money, definitely recommend if you would like a nice quite chilled night

Stay for one night.Lovely property,with character.Very friendly staff.Rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade,but then our stay was cheap so didn't mind . Delicious breakfast in morning £12.50 each ,that was for full english and anything on the Continental menu with tea/coffee and juice.Thank you very much roebuck, definitely come back again

A very attractive hotel with good facilities and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Bar and catering service both very good and the evening meal and breakfast were both good. Would certainly use again.

Excellent parking. Room quiet and clean staff very nice

Over all a good time, the hotel could do with a refresh.The rooms are a little tired but comfortable.The restaurant is clean, service is friendly and attentive, the menu good The breakfast was extensive, well cooked and presented.I would recommend it for a short break.

My stay was ok but the hotel needs a bit of an upgrade there was a door knob missing of the wardrobe the sink plug was missing also the wallpaper was coming of the walls in places But sleep wise was good the bed was very comfortable even to the bath or shower was great too

The property is beautiful and the room is comfy. Beautiful gardens and my window opened to a lovely lawn with a swing from a tree and great fresh air. Room was well decorated and seemed clean except there was a slight smell of mildew when I first came in. Allergies acted up a bit. The breakfast options were awesome - had traditional English breakfast one day and poached eggs with salmon another day. Great coffee and tea and biscuits in the room fresh daily. Within walking distance is a wonderful garden center with gift shop and behind it is a jewel of a tea shop called Hybrid where they make amazing food and drinks, and there’s a balcony overlooking gorgeous green pastures and there are robin’s hopping around and cheerful staff. Regarding the Roebuck hotel staff, most were very kind and helpful but there was one lady who was very difficult. I tried to make a call out of my room and couldn’t. Called front desk and was told the phone to my room is not working, and she asked me who I was trying to call. I said just a taxi because my cell is not working with the WiFi here. (That’s another thing the WiFi is spotty). Then the lady said that they’re going to charge me for an international call. She seemed to be very negative. I said I’m just trying to call a taxi. So I had to go to the front desk and got another nicer employee who kindly ordered me a cab. But the rest of the staff were great. Overall good stay.

Good value for money

Good stay. Very friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was a good size, very clean and comfortable although a little tired. Room was also quiet. Ate at the establishment one evening of our stay. Side salad was excellent. The main meal was satisfactory and reasonably priced. Overall good value compared to anywhere else in the area. Would definitely recommend & stay there again

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom good and clean. Excellent breakfast and good service. Didn’t dine in the evening so can’t comment. Day staff friendly and helpful. Easy parking. Easy and quick check in. Decor a bit tired looking, traditional. Overall very clean and quiet. Convenient for The Ravenscourt Wedding nearby. Was able to book a taxi Thank you for hassle free 2 night stay.
