The staff was very helpful and courteous. My room was okay for the price and type of hotel. This is a budget hotel. Loved my bed. very comfortable. there is no phone in the rooms with which to reach staff. you have to come down to reception to make your requests or ask questions. The AC worked very well. It takes a little bit of patience for the water in the shower to get hot. Paid $20 deposit for the keys to the safe which was returned to me when I checked out. breakfast was between 8am and 10 am and you have to climb to the 5th floor to have it. It was not much. I was disappointed they did not have variety. Had to take an uber to go have a proper breakfast at a local place called Barra Payan. If you are new to Santo Domingo I highly recommend you take the walking tour of the zona colonial, you will learn a lot. I got to see the house where Christopher Columbus lived back in the 14th or 15th or 16th century! Awesome!!!! Overall I will say I like the hotel for the stay but plan to have breakfast elsewhere unless you prefer REALLY LIGHT breakfast.

Good for the price. For paying around $50 US, I cant complain. Only thing is parking is tough, otherwise I would stay again. Just hope your room is not on the 4th floor!!! Didn't see any elevators. Issue with hot water but they fixed it. No face towels. Is that a D.R. thing? I'm noticing that occasionally. Staff was helpful and they speak English. No need to drive once you park in the eve. Food options are a 5 min. Walk away. I'd stay again would like for the property to double check the sheets though. Maybe it was one off, but there was a stain. For $50, I delt with it. Breakfast was not hot, but was satisfying. Overall great staff and stay!!!

Staff is really friendly. Breakfast for the category is ok. Downside for a 5 floor building having no lift is raltivly difficult when travelling with suitcases. Internet not working most of the times. Hot water does not work very often.

Apenas um quarto e banheiros limpos, quartos não tem janela. Não funciona internet nos quartos, a desculpa é que o hotel se encontra perto do mar, outro funcionário disse que era porque não funciona em iPhone, porém tinham mais hóspedes reclamando com Samsung. Os repetidores provavelmente são mau configurados, só é possível utilizar internet no pequeno lobby. Além disso não funciona sinal de celular nos quartos também. A solução encontrada foi ficarmos um dia em outro hotel da rede, porém tínhamos duas diárias, o que faríamos no outro dia? O café da manhã está tudo seco, pães, croissant parece uma pedra, isso que chegamos no café às 8:15am. Péssimo, não fiquem nesse lugar, a não ser que queiram só entrar dormir e ir embora outro dia cedo, pois nem a TV funciona, porque não tem internet e não existe antena ligada nela.

I chose this property due to location and listed amenities. Listed amenities include coffee shop/cafe, poolside bar, restaurant, coffee/tea in common areas, snack bar and deli. Unfortunately none of this is true- only coffee/tea during the breakfast buffet from 8 am-10 am. Poolside “bar” means a few tables on the rooftop terrace, there is no bar service. No restaurant, deli or cafe, just the breakfast set up for 2 hours. Overall amenities listed are very misleading. As a VIP member, we were to receive a bottle of sparkling wine. There was a bottle of white wine in the room, no corkscrew. None at the front desk either. Hubby had to go out looking to buy one, finally found a guy who said he would open it for him in one of the “colmados” nearby. Unfortunately the wine was oxidized and undrinkable. Front desk attendant asked us to bring him the bottle and it would be taken care of. We did but never received another bottle. Wifi was extremely slow and spotty. Warm water was also hard to come by, we reported it as well and did have hot water on checkout day. Room was clean (other than ants), bed and linens comfortable. Location great (close to malecon and historic center.) Staff was friendly, but not proactive. Definitely would choose a different place on our next visit to Santo Domingo.

The staff was very nice and assured a very much a warning welcome. This was my very first international travel and the driver Edison was nice everyone was very polite and amazing so shout to you all from America! It was nice meeting you all! We will meet again, see you guys soon!!!

You get what you pay for .... this is a 3 Star hotel and is a reasonable price.....however that does not excise some basic quality issues. Bathroom towels were old and some torn. Shower was a handled (that leaked), toilet seat was broken (and after 2 requests we gave up) and hot water was sporadic. There was no reliable WiFi so the SMART TV didn't work at all. Some outlets also did not work. Neighbourhood was a bit run down (but safe) and the Colonial district was about a 10 min walk. Good things were the pool....small and a bit cloudy but nice to have. Breakfast was decent but get there early. Jose was excellent and the staff generally pleasant and helpful. All in all an OK experience but if I had to do it again, I would pay a bit more for a nicer hotel. We have stayed in many hotels in the Colonial District so we do have a decent perspective and knowledge of the options.

Una vergüenza de sitio. Me sentí estafada. Sin ningún tipo de wifi, sin TV porque el cable de antena estaba cortado y al no tener internet tampoco servía para Smart TV, lleno de mosquitos, sabanas con agujeros y toallas rotas también. Solicitamos hablar con responsable ynunca aparecio. Acabamos llamando a la policía turistica

Nice hotel well located. Very good stuff. The only problem is that there is no elevator and the breakfadte is served in the 5th floor.

Mikel at the front desk was very helpful. Loved the rooftop area was wonderful. Room was small and no real closet.

Raisa from housekeeping she is amazing with the cleaning of the rooms and nancy from the breakfast she is very attentive the hotel in general is nice clean good location all staff is very helpfull so i will definetly would stay again there
