I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The property is clearly very old and has not been maintained to a reasonable standard. From the moment I arrived, it felt run down and neglected. The cleanliness was particularly concerning. The room was visibly dirty, with dust and grime in multiple areas. The bedding was especially off-putting—it looked worn, unclean, and far from fresh, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep. One of the biggest issues was the lack of hot water. After a long journey, not being able to have a proper shower was extremely frustrating and unacceptable for any hotel, regardless of price. Overall, the hotel felt tired, poorly maintained, and lacking in basic standards of hygiene and comfort. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.

Room was newly renovated, everything looked great especially the bathroom. Very quiet and cosy stay.

Room is ok

This hotel is great for value alone. I paid £100 for 4 nights. Great value ! So let's get down to brass tacks. From the outside it doesn't look great and the interior could be better BUT the room itself was really really nice and clean. Can't complain. TV, kettle, soaps. All the basics. Ahmed was very friendly and hospitable. Cleaning staff friendly and talkative. A few things to improve. Improve email communication prior to checking in. Showers could have more power and sometimes struggled to get good heat. I was disappointed not to get the room I requested. Nevertheless, I would thouroughly recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and looking to get away. I would definitely go back. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Great value for money. I've stayed in two rooms now - 1 small single and 1 double room. Both were clean with modern furnishings giving them an clean, open feel. The floor - not carpeted (a bonus IMHO) - was clean and hygienic. The Shower in both rooms was FABULOUS! Don't be put off by the exterior, which is in need of refreshing, this accommodation is very good value for money and ideally situated for access to the beach, shops and town centre etc.

Overall it was all good

The view was excellent, staff very helpful,room was great value.The outside of Hotel needs a bit of tlc and carpets on floors need good cleaning on 2nd and third floors.

We used to stay here frequently before Covid, it's since changed owners & reviews have been very mixed. We were greeted on arrival & shown to our room. The room was clean, had the usual tea/coffee amenities and a good sized tv. There was an end suite shower room which was clean & had soap & shower gel. There was no hand towel so we had to dry our hands on the bath towels. There were plenty of plug sockets in our room and the WiFi was excellent. The Marine Parade is very close to the sea front and bars, pubs, restaurants. There is paid parking on the roads but it gets filled up quickly. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at the Marine Parade Hotel. Little things could be improved, ie, a second screw to secure the loo roll holder, the shower head is too close to the corner, the only storage was a little frame with a few hangers, a chest of drawers instead of the table with the kettle etc on would have been useful. For the price we paid we really can't complain & we would certainly consider staying here again.

Really lovely Welcome. Such a great location, And a beautiful view.

Room was very small and in need of repair. One of the doors on the shower cubicle came off when I closed it so had to put it back on. Went to pull the curtain and the hook fell off. Indoor TV aerial came off the wall a couple of times. Bathroom didn't have a proper washbasin, it was more like a garden planter on top of the toilet. Nowhere to hang any clothes. The whole hotel looked tired with a not very good makeover. Fair to say its very easy to get into town and the guy on reception was friendly.

the room itself was nice but the facilities when entering and getting to the room were less then subpar. The lift for one was concerning. I also tried to contact the place a week in advance as we were coming for a weekend away after work and they never picked up the phone or answered any emails. The shower was a dribble and so cold - we had to leave it for 15 minutes before using, we didnt complain as we were only there 2 nights and it would have just taken up time we didnt have. I also asked for a late check out on Sunday as the weather was terrible and he said if i paid £20 cash which was weird. I would recommend if they lowered the price but value for money was a weigh up here - I at least would like a shower. Also hot tip... if there is a music event next door good luck sleeping.

Must say that first impression wasn't great, a boarded up door- the place looked completely empty. However, pleasantly surprised by the amenities in the room (heaters, towels, and fully serviced TV). The view from the room was lovely, facilities could have been a bit nicer but honestly, for the price paid, it was fine. Confusion around check-out times as there are conflicting messages in the room (one says 10am another says 11am). Good central location. The hotel was clean, so was the room. As seems to be the case with many of the beachfront hotels in the area, could do with a little TLC, but perfectly acceptable for a short stay.

For £28 i have no complaints !

Great location. I booked a room with a sea view. It was clean, spacious and comfortable with everything needed for an overnight stay. Staff also polite and welcoming. I shall be booking again.

Reasonable

Ahmed was so helpful and friendly. Took us to our two beautiful, spotless double rooms with breathtaking views of the sea! Lovely comfortable beds,nice showers in both rooms.Tea and coffee available in our rooms.Alltogether,a lovely stay and we will go back soon.Thankyou so much! X
