Friendly helpful staff and nice spacious clean room

I arrived late and the staff were helpful upon check in. In my room however I could not find the tv remote anywhere, the bed was uncomfortable and the floor was gritty like it hasn’t been hoovered. I could clearly hear people in other rooms and periodically something which sounded like a fan switching on. The final straw was blood splatters on the bathroom mirror.

Avoid room 11! No Wi-Fi or phone signal whatsoever

A great inn, in a good location. Staff were very friendly and the evening meal was excellent. The room was really nice with plenty of space, warm, clean and well equipped. Some noise carried through from other rooms but this wasn’t too much of a problem for our stay. Breakfast was ok but the full English breakfast fell a bit short of expectations. Overall would definitely recommend to stay at the Black Swan.

Plenty of parking next to hotel room. In my case I could see my motorcycle from the hotel window. Large well appointed clean room with excellent en suite. Lovely views over surrounding hills. Cozy pub with real fire. Good full English breakfast and friendly staff. All good thanks and would stay again.

Staff really accommodating and understanding around check in. Great property with perfect features for an overnight stay and good value for money.

Hotels.com advertises that this hotel has air conditioning - it does not. However, the staff are very helpful and it was a pleasant if somewhat warm stay.

Fabulous recent 2 nights stay at the Black Swan Inn . Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and very efficient . Our room was a lovely large space and a very big king sized bed which was extremely comfortable . We will definitely return .

Water thin walls, could hear tv in next room and all conversation. There is also caravan park here.

The country setting and the veiws out the back from the çomfortable garden are outstanding.

I booked the wednesday to thursday but unfortunately the wrong week, after i explained the staff were exemplary and agreed to change my booking at the last minute. The room was clean warm and tidy and the food was really good. No complaints at all and will stay again.

Great pub in a lovely location with fantastic views from the garden. The rooms were very large, as were the beds (which were really comfy). The room had everything you’d need. The staff were great and friendly, and helped out getting a taxi. The food at the pub is great, and the beer is kept exceptionally well. A great place to stay and only a 2 mile walk into Masham. The owners old WW2 vehicles in the car park are very interesting too.

Arrive a little before 3.00pm , 2.15pm, no parking in front due to Construction activity. No access into building prior to 3.00pm -door locked and sign hanging on door saying "Gone to Pub" . Place was a building site and about 15miles from Ripon !!
