Good for short stay over. A few minutes walk to local shops. About 20 minutes walk from main station and mall. Need to share bath room is a down side.

Appreciated the help of Kevin allowing our large luggages to keep at the hotel during a short leave from Sydney to Qld. Moreover, Kevin is very helpful in welcoming us at a very late check in and in organizing cab to airport. It's a nice stay in the hotel. I am sure staying in this hotel for the next Sydney visit.

The hotel is not near the city central, but only 10 mins walk to a train station, which is very convenient The English style building is a bit old but still well maintained and comfortable We booked a room with 2 single beds, which have to share bathroom with another room, but it is totally acceptable

Easy check in, place was very vintage and charming looking. We were on the upper level and there is a lift. Room was spacious and quite comfortable. Shower was good. Parking onsite. Overall a very good experience.

Cheap and valuable accommodation but be prepared to walk for amenities etc

The place is rustic, no front desk or reception, just the way we like it.

An email was sent to avoid this, however after no response, it will be put here that no dining was available, WiFi didn’t work, room cards were left out for anyone to walk in and take. The staff took it upon themselves to enter the room while we were sleeping and woke us up to tell us we were checking out. Still had close to an hour left until check out, this was very unpleasant and unprofessional. The main entry is also left ajar all night….

Loved the house and neighbourhood.

The hotel has beautiful period furniture, lovely spacious rooms in a quite area that is a short walk to nearby train stations and restaurants.

I really wanted to like this place but I can’t get past how dirty I felt leaving. The building itself is lovely and has a lot of history just no upkeep to keep it clean. The blankets and bedspreads need to be washed and donated to a shelter for the winter they have water stains on them and stains in general just not something you want to pay money and sleep under, the beds need chucking on the tip you can feel every spring and have a hollow even when made up. The black cushion covers are gross, the window didn’t close properly and there were small cockroach's running everywhere. The place smells like mould and wet carpet rolled up in a walkway with a fan on it. The place has good bones, the dining area was dust free but I didn’t use the kitchen so can’t comment. I hope the place gets the clean up it deserves because the location is quiet, good parking and rich history. But currently I felt like I slept in the same beds that were there when it was a nursing home/hospital and the floor mats need cleaning they could talk ! Sorry but it could be so much better.

Lovely house nice and clean

On first glance, loved the building, but it got even better when I entered. The lounge and dining rooms looked beautiful. The renovation was outstanding. Then on entering the bedroom I was delighted. Andrew was a wonderful host and did all he could for me. My only minor complaint was the wifi but I simply used by own hotspot. Highly recommend.

Comfortable, plenty of space, quiet & excellent facilities.
