Really well positioned in central Coogee, easy access to beach, restaurants and shops. Large room very comfortable bed and clean, bathroom needs a refurbish but clean and lots of hot water overall very convenient and relaxing stay.

I was disappointed in the standard of the room for the price. For an older lady the stairs weren’t so easy to manage. The step in the bathroom was dangerous with the step down for an older person. There was nothing in the fridge, not even milk. I wouldn’t stay there again. Sorry about the negative feedback.

Perfect for a short (or long) stay in The Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. The location could not be better with brilliant coastal walks to Bondi and Maroubra. The staff were friendly and the room was brilliant. I will stay again when next in Sydney.

Very average. We seemed to be the only ones staying there. Good location, and as it was over the weekend, no reception..just an empty building. The room was very draughty with windows not closing properly. Hot water took ages to come through. Met needs for a bed for two nights, but wouldn’t return.

The property was advertised as 4 star yet it was far from it. Room was dirty, linen was old and stained. Bathroom was mouldy. There were barely any kitchen utensils and the ones that were provided were cracked or scratched. Cutlery tray was mouldy. I was extremely dissatisfied with the property.

Only thing that was terrible was the parking, but that’s just Sydney in general, can’t be helped.

The room and bathroom were large and clean. The ocean view from the balcony window was gorgeous. The balcony itself was a little narrow and a little rundown. The checking and parking process was poor. After booking through Expedia we got an email saying reception was open from 9am-2:30pm and to call to confirm arrival time 24 hours ahead. We did so saying we would arrive at 1pm. On the day we running behind time so called back and said we would be there at 2pm. Stopping in front of the hotel - if you have a car is almost impossible on a Friday summer/school holiday time. So one of us stayed with the car and I went in. There were already 3 people waiting at the reception and there was a sign on the desk saying call this particular number. It was 2:05pm. The people told me they had already called 10 minutes earlier. Another 10 minutes went past and more people arrived to check in, totaling 11 people waiting. At around 2:25pm someone came to reception and started checking people in! I didn’t realize when I booked that I had to book parking which is run by someone else not the hotel. Fortunately there was still space but for the extra charge they wanted cash which we didn’t have. The next day before checking out we looked for an ATM but the service were astronomical so went back to reception and another staff member said I could pay there with my card - conflicting information and wasted time!! Besides that, with some patience, the location is great and the rooms were good.

We had a great time! Thank you. Reminded me of hotels in England and Ireland of my childhood. Nice and very accommodating office staff (thank you for holding our luggage on check out day so we had time to site see) and quiet but good space also for a rainy day. Super easy access to Coogee beach and wonderful Wylie’s rock pool. Thanks again for a nice stay!

Fabulous view from the front rooms (and higher rates of course). A mix of old and new, the old sometimes showing wear. Beach is great for swimming in all but the most serious conditions.

I stayed for 4 nights. Quick access to beach! The facilities were indeed old, but kept as clean as they could be. Contactless check-in and check-out was available, which was appreciated as I arrived on an early morning flight. Although the room I chose was not an ocean view room, it was great to open the window to hear the sound of the waves while sleeping.

The property was in the perfect location. The room was clean.

It's a fantastic place to stay if you're on a budget. Amazing location, quiet rooms and has everything you need without paying a fortune.

Do NOT book to stay here. We do not recommend this property at all. Checkin was communicated as being between 2pm and 8pm. We arrived at 2:45 pm. The hotel was all locked up. No one was answering the phone. The mobile phone number posted on the front door did not work. We had paid $400 for one night. We stayed outside the property emailing and calling the property until 4 pm. Still no response. Appalling. If it was not for the customer support of wotif, which was excellent, we would have had nowhere to stay and likely lost our money.
