Great value

Our room stunk of urine coming from the bathroom, bathroom floor still had wet patches from cleaning but it stunk of urine. Guess someone had a pee in the shower and cleaner didn’t clean it properly. The room also looked dirty as there was a large stain on the carpet and the lounge chair had dirty marks all over it, I went down to reception to tell them but they could not move us as fully booked so they sent someone up with a bucket and mop to clean, which helped with the smell. Tried to turn air conditioning off as it was cold but it was stopping and starting all night causing us to keep waking up due to the noise and made us freeze. We thought if we stayed at a Mercure hotel it would be clean but no. Would not recommend staying here.

I've stayed here before and I knew how appropriate this hotel was for me. Staff 100%. Meal options excellent. WOTIF? Not so good. Two amounts were taken from my account. You can only contact Wotif by email or chat. Waiting time ok compared to banks and internet providers but the chat itself was disruptive. I had to upload proof of the double dipping to my bank account and the chat upload wouldn't accept the upload despite being around 186k. Very frustrating to the chat agent and myself. Several attempts over 15-20 minutes meant the chat dropped out due to my failed responses. I phoned Mercure who rightly said they couldn't assist but they only had one booking.

All staff were extremely helpful and friendly

The hotel was pleasant and everything was in order. The room was large and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room was ok, some of the staff members were great. Now they do have (or at least they did during the two nights I spent) groups like scouts, sports camp or something. This means constant running in the hallway, laundry after hours etc. The area is nice but rather (very) quiet.

Good location. Comfortable bed. Problems getting the tv working properly, even after staff help. Didn't use dining options.

Really long wait to check in. About 30-45 minutes. Understaffed and wet carpet in room.

Was not given the type of room which I booked so very difficult for my husband with not having an accessible room with shower bench and hand rails. Sink in bathroom did not drain properly, leg/castor on bed was broken, stains on sheet and pillowcase and dust on surfaces. Have stayed here many times however, this time the room was less than satisfactory. For the cost per night I will look at alternative accommodation in the future.

Hotel is ideally located to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, within walking distance. I have stayed here over the past five years. Only disadvantage is the Restaurant is closed for lunch. However meals in the hotel restaurant at night have always been good. Thank you Chef James and staff. The rooms are quiet, and beds very comfortable. Staff are friendly and will do their best to fix any short comings. In this instance, there had been a water leak from the bathroom into the carpet area of the living room. Once I notified the staff, and went out, for medical appt, I returned to find a dryer fan was in place to reduce the water prob. No fuss, just immediate response to fix. See you again next appt time. Good position on lake, walking around lake to attractions was very convenient. Cosy restaurant/cafe/bar was staffed by obliging staff.

Very convenient for a hospital visit

Good clean hotel if you are looking for somewhere to stay overnight on the Sunshine Coast rather than a resort for a holiday. You definitely need a car. We had breakfast at the on site cafe and it was good.

Nice spacious room with complimentary nibbles and wine bottle.
