Just an ordinary motel. The washing basin was so small and it was not convenient to use. The bathroom was slippery. No cooking facility but only microwave. Not recommended for families.

位置离镇中心颇远，没暖气空调，只有加热扇，门缝透风，睡觉好冷。小孩4岁跟我们同睡一张床居然加收30澳币，之前每一个旅馆都只是加收10澳币啊。所以无论性价比还是舒适度，地点，都不推荐啦。

The room is very clean and well equipped with everything including plates , fork and spoon. It's a very well cleaned and maintained property.

Original 1970;s motel

Very clean, bathroom adequate and clean. It is a basic motel, clean and quiet. Room facilities all worked, what more could you want?

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Motel Marengo. It was just outside of Apollo Bay so we avoided all the hussle and bussle and the room was spacious, clean and all we needed for a nights stay. Would stay again.

The rooms were very clean and the staff accommodating. Very basic amenities which for an overnight stay is fine. Overall a good experience and would stay there again.

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED AND RUNDOWN!!! Save your money and look elsewhere. Mold in bathroom, stains on bedding, peeling paint, worn out towels. Bathroom smells bad. Who puts clean dishes under a sink where cleaning supplies go? Nasty. Didn’t drink the water. Didn’t shower. Didn’t unpack. Literally slept and left. The pool is probably a health hazard…you can’t see the bottom of it! Pictures are not accurate, so here are some that are current and reflect the hotel in its present state. March 2025. Check in went like this…. “Name? You are in room—. The key is under the doormat. Check out is by 10:00. Leave the key in the drop box.” Several signs in the property to NOT do this or that. They will charge you if you ignore the signs. Not exactly a friendly or welcoming conversation or place to stay.

Quiet, comfortable and clean. We were not expecting an apartment so that was a nice surprise. Easy 5 min drive to Apollo Bay.

Nice people- Small, adequate roadside motel with necessary basics & up the hill from the seashore and dining in Apollo Bay. Though we used the spa, we were not sure the chemicals were balanced in it or the pool. They had to turn on the heat for the spa and wait 2 hrs when we asked about using it. We book places w spa/pool and use them. They should be ready to use and well maintained if they are going to advertise them for people looking to reserve. Enjoyed playing in nearby tide pools at low tide upon our arrival!

This out 3rd stay over many years at Motel Marengo. It is always clean and the staff have always been helpful. It is well situated, in that it is close to Apollo Bay and the Otways and only a couple of hours from the 12 Apostles. Perfect for a short break.

Reasonably priced, spacious and had a kitchenette, which was very useful.

This place was dirty and the bed sheets were stained as were the pillows and hand towels also the photos of the property must have been taken 10 years ago it was that bad that we didn’t even stay and done our money cold I don’t know who’s been doing the reviews on this place but they were definitely delusional I would give this place a big miss Reception also didn’t want any IID which I thought was strange

Electric blanket could only be used on one side. No power point available in the other.

One of the best motels we have ever been. The reception and management were most friendly and kind. Very generous. The pool and spa was amazing, and just a walking distance from the beach. Things that can improve is clothing line (possibly?), refill toilet papers esp for long staying guests, uncover the spa during the opening hours.

Clean rooms, we only stayed the one night, price was good compared to other options. For someone on a budget id recommend ☺️
