Great hotel with friendly, welcoming staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect — close to everything. Highly recommended.
The only downside was the fire alarm going off around 1am, which meant the hotel had to be evacuated. That said, the staff member on duty was working alone and handled the situation incredibly well. The evacuation was calm, organised, and everyone was kept safe. Huge credit to him.
Thank you for a great stay — I’ll definitely be back next time.

The fact that it was available on short notice as we decided we could not possibly at the Discovery Parks accomodation at Cradle Mountain as it was appalling. The Gateway was clean tidy snd in a good location with friendly staff

Room for spotless and had all the amneties required with a great view towards Sprit of Tasmania dock. Entire hotel was amazingly good, it had an attached bar and resturant which was very handy for us.
Last but not least, the staff were very friendly at front desk or at the till on resturant. Great place to stay!!
