DO NOT STAY HERE - it honestly fees like a scam . We paid premium price for a two bedroom ocean / beach view apartment and we were given a room staring into buildings on level 2 with no view of the ocean. We complained to the management staff and they said they couldn’t do anything about it , that’s how the room is classified. The room also had a terrible smell, the couch was filthy , stained and stunk. The ensuite bathroom shower was full of mould and could not be used. We raised all of these issues with reception immediately and they gave us glen 20 and said they had just deep cleaned all the apartments 1 week before and there was nothing they could do. If that was clean I would hate to see the apartments when they are dirty . Aircon in bedroom does not work. Windows can be barely opened as they are so old. The curtains are old and dusty and filthy and and smell. There is so much dust and dirt on the window sills inside and balconies. Avoid staying here at all costs unless you are happy to waste your money . We’ve stayed in much older apartments in Broadbeach that are far cleaner and superior to this . We had driven 8 hours from Sydney with two kids and had no choice but to stay as it was over New Year’s Eve and everything was booked out. We understand sometimes things happen but the Management at ocean Royale and Expedia's customer service did nothing to rectify. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I was on 10th floor, amazing view, clean room, indoor outdoor pools and what not.

Ocean Royale is located very close to Broadbeach’s restaurants and bars and minutes from the beach. Our room had a wonderful sea view. The outside pool and barbecue area was clean and attractive. Disappointingly the room, although relatively clean, was in desperate need of refurbishment. For example there was an unfinished repair in the kitchen, multiple holes in the carpet, the heat pump installation was poorly finished and the ranch sliders were so old they were difficult to secure.

lovely view, great situation, bed was uncomfortable, stove top elements were in bad condition, to the point of dangerous. Weekly clean was changed bed and towels, vacumed but nothing was cleaned. Would be better if they left cleaning products so we could clean toilet and basins.

Beautiful view. No iron and ironing board, no one to ask for one.

The view from our balcony is fantastic. Very close to the beach, restaurants and shopping center.

Loved everything about it but the highlight of this place is definitely the view!!! Got to see the sunrise from the bed every morning and that's a win! It's also a calm neighbourhood/hotel which is perfect for good sleep :)

Found the rooms to be dirty and dust on skirting boards in unit Lazy cleaners

A few issues that need attention. Shower rose needs cleaning, dryer full of lint (fire hazard), hot plate needs replacing (rusted and terrible condition), door to balcony near floor has plaster board damaged, ensuite door does not close. The redeeming factor is the view, but charging those rates I feel these issues should be addressed.

Location of apartment was not we are expecting.

We stayed for 5 nights and walked down to Broadbeach restaurants most nights. Approximately 10 minutes. Great room with fantastic views of the ocean as promised. Very friendly staff, good pools, close to the beach and handy to all Broadbeach offers.

Location to beach

We stayed 7nights in a smallish , one bedroom apartment with fantastic ocean views. It was older style but in reasonable condition, apart from minor paint maintenance jobs that need doing. Bed was good size and comfortable. Lounge furniture fairly new but quite slippery to sit on and outdoor cushions used on the couch kept sliding off. Kitchen good size and everything worked. Bathroom a tad small but great shower. Enough hanging space for clothes . Carpet could have been cleaner as there were a few stains , a good steam clean would not go astray. For the price per night so close to the beach it was a good deal. Balcony fairly big and furniture in good condition. Wonderfull sunrises!! The indoor pool and spa were very good- very nice temperature and fairly clean, although some of the tiles above the waterline could have been cleaner(not sure if this is a scale or chlorine problem). The outdoor pool was very nice but we didn’t use it. The walk to Oasis shopping centre took us longer than the stated ten minutes as one of us had sore knees(both in our 70’s), so for older people of average mobility it does take longer than 10 minutes( about 20 minutes). It’s also a fair walk to the nearest light rail stop at North Broadbeach. It does depend on how mobile you are of course . Dining options are plenty and great at Oasis but nothing close to the apartment. Overall we had a pleasant and relaxing week, excellent access to the beach for our daily beach walks. We would book again.

We enjoyed our stay, beautiful sea views , couple minutes from the beach. 8 minutes walk to shopping mall. Property was clean, staff were great. Will be back.

Staff at reception were very friendly and informative, the accomodation could do with a refurb but having said that, the apartment was clean and tidy and perfectly situated.
