My husband and I had the best time here in the Robertson! Only 1,5 hour from Sydney, very accessible for a short weekend gateaway.
Check-in was seamless, our room were small but cozy and warm, considering the outside temperature that reached as low as 3 degree.
We booked a table for dinner, the menu got enough variety of dishes especially for people who have a dietary restrictions like ourselves.
Such a charming historical place, great staffs, and decent dining experience at the restaurant. Overall a wonderful trip.

The Robertson Hotel is a sanctuary where the raveled sleeve can be knitted up again :) Beautiful surrounds, friendly, attentive staff, lovely breakfast. My only worry is that its gentle, historical charm will be lost in future development. Sydney needs this kind of retreat from its mass tourism culture.

I loved my stay in this fabulous old hotel! Great atmosphere, bit quirky and amenities old (I stayed in a room with a bathroom down the hall) but it was clean and grand with heaps of character. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Grounds are a slightly overgrown mysterious adventure. Will come back.

They don’t answer their phones, messages or emails. Apparently no one was in attendance for 3 days. More than half of the wine list was not available, staff did not know the difference between a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Burgundy. The staff did try their best at times. The menu was very limited, the bar did not open until 5pm. The rooms smelled of smoke. It is a beautiful old building, we really tried to enjoy our stay, however we will not return.

Lovely old style building. Room comfortable and quiet but the only option available at time of booking were rooms with a shared bathroom. Which was the main problem with the stay. Initially we had access to a shared bathroom next to our room. But the bathroom doors didn't lock (or even close properly) and the toilet cistern leaked continually. When we reported this to the front desk, instead of fixing the door and cistern they simply closed off the bathroom and re-directed us to other shared bathrooms further away.
The hotel was full and these older (under)renovated bathrooms were simply not up to the task. Hair in all the drains, and generally messy. Limited shower cubicles etc. If the hotel persists with shared facilities they really need modern bathrooms...
