River Lodge

To be honest, I really liked the hotel. The welcome and room comfort were great. Daily cleaning was also well done. My only recommendation would be to have a car. Of course, you can reach the city center by public transportation, but the number of buses was limited, so you need to pay attention to the schedule. However, if you have a car, don’t hesitate at all—it was a wonderful experience.

Driving up, the property looks completely abandoned. Walking up, looks the same. We arrived early and no one was there, but we found a door unlocked and were at least about to get into "reception". It's a 1 person front desk and you're considered lucky of anyone is actually there when you need them. They must watch a camera from somewhere on the property because they eventually (sometimes) will show up. We picked this hotel due to it being half way to the airport and the main part of the city and because it had beautiful views and a restaurant on property, WORST MISTAKE EVER. This hotel is completely isolated and the restaurant is not open and there are no views to be had. The closest restaurant is a 4 minute walk and after going we found out they only open for events. There is nothing around for miles. The front desk are limited on what they can even help you with. You can't use their food apps as a foreigner and there are no other delivery services. So we spent more on taxis trying to get food, then if we had stayed in the city. The airport fare is exactly the same as if you had stayed in the center city. The hotel is clean, but all you can smell is over powering flowery cleaner and it's EVERY WHERE... you can smell it on sheets, carpets, bathrooms, hallways, towels... it's so strong it's nauseating. The hotel looks like they are trying to revive it, with sagging couches and mattresses, thinning towels, rough sheets and outdated decor. Disappointing.

If you like to stay away from the city center, this place is nice with free car parking. Right along the Danube with hiking and biking trails along the river. The shower turns off automatically for ecofriendliness so keep pushing the faucet.

Het hotel is een verlopen zaak. Niet onderhouden, niet schoon, vlonders die los en hobbelig liggen, afbladerende verf, behang dat los hangt, gordijnen die los hangen, drinkglazen op de kamer vies zijn, kast waarvan de handgrepen afgebroken zijn, geen airco, zeer beperkt ontbijt, ontbijt van 7.00 tot 10.00 uur is, maar dan staan we om half 8 voor een dichte deur, om kwart voor 8 gaan de luiken eindelijk opengaan, waarop de eigenaar zegt: ik ga nu boodschappen doen, dan maak ik daarna het ontbijt voor u klaar. Het enige mooie aan dit hotel is het uitzicht op de Donau. Sorry, maar dit is geen aanrader om in dit hotel een leuk weekend in Wenen te hebben. De eigenaar is wel heel aardig, maar heeft het niet in zich, om een hotel te runnen.

Let the water run for a few minutes before using it to rinse mouth. We realized it was brown buz after a few minute got clear. Rusty pipes?

Lovely area. Nice and quiet but still within a short distance to city centre. Nice view of the river. Very clean and comfy.

A bit of a nasty spot on the Danube. Dated hotel with interesting smells. No breakfast.

The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and always in a good mood, the property was next to a river which is awesome and relaxing, just no dining options around, the restaurant at the facility didn't seem to ever be open

We chose this property because it advertised there was a bar, restaurant, and airport transfer. There was NONE of these things. There was NO place to eat, which is what we expected and needed. We had to take an Uber to and from a restaurant, and to the airport the next morning. The management needs to update their information. This is a very barebones establishment. I would not stay here again. Though right on the Danube, it is not in a convenient location and the building is very run down.
