I had a wonderful stay at Beaconsfield Inn. Kathy, who welcomed me, really went above and beyond. She helped me cancel an additional night that I ended up not needing and made sure I could still have breakfast on a day when I had to leave very early.
My room was incredibly charming and cozy, and I felt very comfortable there. The location is also excellent. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We spent 2 nights in this lovely hotel and really enjoyed our stay. It is a historical house with very fine Fine decoration. The owners are excellent chefs and they prepare wonderful breakfast for us every morning with big surprise. By the way, don't miss their fresh baked cookies and homemade sherry in the reading room every afternoon, I am sure you will love them !

This is a charming manor house in the middle of Victoria. It’s in a great location, which is close to many amenities and walking distance to Victoria’s waterfront. The house is old and filled with character, it’s clean, comfortable and offers a wonderful breakfast, free parking and a wonderful staff. We will be back.

Charming stay at the Beaconsfield! The whole place was so cozy and the staff was wonderful. We had a room on the main floor, but had no noise problems and slept great. Breakfast in their beautiful breakfast room was a highlight of the stay.

Beaconsfield Inn is a beautiful old home with character that gives guests a feeling of being both settled and comfortable in a very inviting setting. The property is very well maintained and clean, both inside and outside. There are little touches in each room that are not only a testament to the character and the history of the house itself, but that also add to the comfort of the guests.
Breakfast, the only meal served at the Inn is innovative and nutritious, starting with a small bowl of yoghurt and fresh fruit, and moving on to a cooked dish that has protein, fresh vegetables, and toast, accompanied by tea or coffee or/and fruit juice. For guests with early departures, a packed breakfast is available to take with them. For people with dietary restrictions, alternate menus are provided. All this is served in their beautiful breakfast room overlooking the garden and the street.
There are cookies, some fruit, and refreshments available for guests to help themselves to during the day.
The manager, Cathy, and the staff are always happy to answer questions, give suggestions, and to take care of any problems. They personalize the help needed by guests, and go beyond the call of duty to help out their guests.
Beaconsfield Inn provided one of the best stays we have ever had on our travels.

Absolutely incredible experience. All of the staff are so kind and helpful, we felt very pampered the entire time. the breakfasts are delicious and beautifully served, and the home itself is stunning and well maintained. Cathy is very knowledgeable in everything about the estate and surrounding area and was very easy to reach for anything we needed. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique stay on the island.

Some wonderful things: Cathy was amazing, SO friendly and helpful and one of the the most hardworking staff anywhere!
The gardens were pretty!
The breakfasts were good, and Cathy went out of her way to move breakfast early one day so we could get away early and the last day packed us a meal for a 4 am departure.
Excellent location; we walked to Beacon hill park daily!
Some not great: it is an old, dark building with many windows painted shut so airflow not great.
The few Outlets were terrible as plugs just fell out.
WiFi not good.
Music at breakfast, though quiet, was rock and roll or radio. Not relaxing at all.
I thought the video advertised afternoon tea but now I can’t play it to check. There were cookies but they were there multiple days in a row so they didn’t seem fresh- baked which is what I usually think of when I hear “afternoon tea”.
(Thankfully Victoria has multiple places for high tea (Abhkazi and Murchie’s has everything you need to make your own). It would be nice if they served the local tea, Murchies, rather than Twinings as there is a huge difference in flavor. )
So 3 stars is an average for the excellent service and friendliness ( 5 stars) and the rest described above.

We absolutely loved staying at the Beaconsfield! The property is a historic treasure, with a library filled with delicious welcome snacks and antique books. The room was well appointed with every detail thought of! The bed was incredibly comfortable, we didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend the Beaconsfield Inn for your next trip to Victoria!

There are so many nice things to say about Beaconsfield Inn. The location was great as I was able to walk to downtown, Chinatown, Beacon Hill Park. Even walking in the neighborhood was quiet. The house gave vibes of the early 1900’s with the beautiful wood paneling, fireplaces in every room, furnishings that reflected craftmanship. It was absolutely gorgeous! My room was huge with a separate sitting room, Jacuzzi tub, and bedroom closed off with glass doors. The breakfast room downstairs was bright and cheerful while the library made you want to sit and relax with a glass of wine. Again, WOW!
Cathy was an absolute dream. She was so friendly and informative about the area and the history of the house. You could not have asked for a more welcoming hostess. She was prompt and accommodating in each one of our communications. While I did not get the name of the young lady serving breakfast, she was an absolute delight; she started the morning with a smile and was so attentive. I don’t want to forget about the cook behind the scenes who cooked up an absolutely delicious breakfast with a beautiful presentation.
I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you, Cathy and staff, for making my stay in Victoria so memorable
