We stay at this hotel whenever we are flying out of Guayaquil and also on our return. This is useful to us in easing the stress of travel. Our stay is always pleasant and restful.

We are repeat guests as we stay here on our way to and from the airport for a pre and post flight break. Property is in downtown Guayaquil in "the heart of the city" as they so proudly state. It is convenient to the airport, the Malecon and the Air Tran. We find the hotel convenient and feel safe walking around the city. The staff are always courteous and helpful.

El desayuno no estuvo listo sino hasta las 8:30 am, y la bulla exterior es muy fuerte, hay personas en condición de calle que se quedan en la esquina del hotel y sudan mucho ruido hasta altas horas de la noche.

Only discovered the A/C button by accident after sweltering a good portion of the night.
Breakfast served in restaurant adjoining hotel - scrambled eggs, 4 petit pains, jam, butter, coffee, juice. Everything was served fresh. Not the best breakfast as far as variety but sufficient to start the day.

First, I must commend the location. It is fantastic, offering easy access to many attractions in the center of the city. Being so close to 9 de Octubre, Malecón 2000, and Parque de las Iguanas made my visit very enjoyable.
I particularly appreciated my room, which had huge windows that let in a lot of natural light. Additionally, the air conditioning worked well, providing a comfortable environment for my stay. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff also made a positive impact on my experience.
However, I noticed that the hotel appears a bit rundown in certain areas. I believe that a revamp could greatly enhance the overall experience and make it an even more wonderful place to stay.

Debe mejorar. Las habitaciones descuidadas. Toallas en mal estado. Cortinas de la.habitacion muy disfuncionales, opciones desayuno... Un solo huevo y cafe. No colocan agua bebible en las habitaciones, sabanas amarillentas..

Las Penas is our go to place whenever we are in Guayaquil, which is several times each year. It's a welcoming property with friendly, helpful staff. It is centrally located in downtown Guayaquil in easy walk to the Malecon, restaurants and other attractions.

We have stayed at Las Penas several times as it's our home whenever we pass through Guayaquil. It's walking distance to the Malecón and Aero Via and has several restaurants nearby.
