Bath YMCA - Hostel

Pros: Good location, clean room, nice breakfast Cons: Service to be improved, sent 2 inquires before check in but no answer, a bit noise at night, a bit watery in the bathroom

英國住宿真的很貴，特別是週末的巴斯，找不到便宜的住宿，最便宜的只能是青旅了。第一次入住青旅，選了最貴的私人房，因為比較怕跟別人公用浴室，需要私密性。巴斯這家青旅地理位置挺好的，我們從火車站拖箱子去也只要10來分鐘（不過挺累的，還是建議打車）。員工非常nice，也很健談，可以寄存行李。房間有包含早餐，餐食是自助的，品種很少但能填飽肚子。房間面積不大，但有個大衣櫃（雖然我們用不上），有個小桌子可以擺放點東西，浴室非常大，但奇怪的是淋浴間搞得很小。房間清潔度也是可以的，隔音一般，但通常情況下都比較安靜。整體來說還是可以推薦的，如果大家想要體驗青旅，這家還是不錯的。

Location close to most attractions. Staff are friendly, complimentary breakfast at weekends is a surprise. Provide basic YMCA staying experience, good for value.

Majoituspaikka oli odotustemme mukainen. Halusimme lähelle tärkeimpiä nähtävyyksiä ja sijainti oli todellakin paras mahdollinen. Respan henkilökunta oli erityisen ystävällistä ja loi osaltaan mukavan tunnelman. Huoneemme oli perus siisti. Käytävillä oli vähän likaisuutta, mutta tämä ei haitannut meitä. Bonusta oli se, kun yllättäen lauantaina ja sunnuntaina oli tarjolla ilmainen aamupala. Jos haluat priimaa ja luksusta, ei tämä ole sinun kohteesi. Meille oli tärkeintä hyvä sijainti, perus siisteys ja se, että perusasiat olivat kunnossa. Miellyttävä ja rento ilmapiiri jäi päällimmäiseksi mieleen.

This is my second time staying at Bath YMCA, the first time having a room to myself with an en suite bathroom. I like how the location is so convenient to everything in central Bath. The accommodations are comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it for the budget traveler, especially for long term stays. I was there for 12 days.

Low pressure shower and poor thermostat and no TV.

フロントのスタッフの方の対応がとても親切でした。部屋もベッドも広くて、ベッド横のライトがつかなかったですが寝心地は最高でした。

Although a hostel, it offers single and other private rooms, which was my case. The room was big enough with a few hangers, a chest of drawers, a lamp, an armchair and washbasin. The toilets and showers are shared in sufficient numbers for both sexes. There us a huge kitchen/canteen and a common room.on the ground floor. The staff I met were all smiling and helpful.

J’ai réservé cet hôtel pour un week-end de match entre collègues à bath. Le rapport qualité prix est excellent avec une situation géographique parfaite Proche de la gare à environ 10 minutes à pied du centre-ville, même pas 2 minutes et 7 minutes du stade. La chambre était simple, mais très propre équipée de quatre lits superposés avec un matelas très confortable. Comme dans chaque auberge jeunesse, les toilettes et les douches étaient sur le palier, Elles étaient plutôt sommaire, mais relativement propre. Idéal pour un week-end, pas cher, simple, mais sans faire de concessions sur la qualité. Le petit bémol est le nombre de prises dans les chambres, Prévoyez une multiprise, car pour charger les téléphones, il n’y a qu’une seule prise.

staff favour opinion of older customers rather than all customers. I find 1 member of staff who was english to be very nice some members of staff not english to be very rude and dismissive almost militant. ok hostel but expect aggravation

It’s a good hostel for a short stay, the showers seem to be brand new and the place is quite clean. There was a really weird smell in my dorm though (it was a mixed dorm) and some people were REALLY noisy. One of them would pace back and forth between the bunks in the morning, which was bizarre. Some had had too much to drink and others seemed quite hostile. As if other people had it easier than them… Just because people don’t complain it doesn’t mean they have a cushy life. One of my gripes about the hostel is that some of the areas (the dorms, the shower rooms, the kitchen) are closed at certain times of the day. It does make it easier for them to clean however if you forgot something in your room, or get up too late to take a shower, it’s irritating.

The guy manning the reception was lovely, very warm and enthusiastic, and good at staying on top of all the guests checking in and coming to the desk with various queries. There was only 1 other lady in my dorm and she was very quiet so I managed to grab a good night's sleep. I used the small launderette, it's very cheap (£3 if you bring your own washing powder) and it saves you a walk to the laundromat and back (not great when it's cold and damp, especially on the way back). It's only open between noon and 10pm and one of the washing machines was out of order and neither dryer are very 'hard working', I used the 'white' settings and my clothes were still slightly damp after the 40 minutes cycle. However, for the price, I can't complain. I really enjoyed being able to cook an evening meal and although some of the people staying there can be a little too chatty, they usually leave you alone when they realize you're not interesting in 'sharing' etc. I have yet to use the gym, one of my former colleagues used to go there to try and 'hook up' with women in their 30s and 40s, single, divorced, or unhappily married. He was in his 20s and married, but his wife was pregnant, so he claimed he was 'forced' to look elsewhere... I do hope there aren't too many characters like him at that gym, I don't think he was successful though, he moved on to another gym in Bath then got a job in Bristol.

Warm, cosy, on suite facilities, ideal location

Friendly helpful staff. Washrooms clean. Good canteen facilities . The only negative is there is no parking, apart from that excellent vale for the money you are payin.

Wifi’s not working in rooms and bad 4G, so you won’t be on net in your room. A French that is working the reseption got anger issue, beds a so, so hard. Bathroom is filthy and no shower holder. STAY AWAY

Mycket bra och lugnt läge i Bath. Trevligt vandrarhem med bra atmosfär. Prisvärt.
