I get that it’s a budget stay. But it doesn’t mean that it should be so dirty. Room smelt of urine. Mould on the toilet. Couldn’t have a cuppa as the kettle was scaled.

The place was perfect location for what I needed for one night. The shower could have been better as the shower head was not working as well as it should. So had to dance round to get some water. Busy road outside with the minster bells going meant it could be noisy. I would recommend if your looking for a short stay only 😀

Im basing my review on the fact I knew what I was getting and its a 2 star rating. The money I paid as opposed to the other hotels will obviously mean its dated and not luxury etc. The instructions were clear and helpful so no access issues. Parking no issues. Four poster bed in the room which I slept well on, pillows were a bit lumpy. Fridge and kettle which is great. Loved the sunken bath, what a treat to enjoy a bubble bath and there is a separate shower. It was clean and tidy and perfect for an affordable stay in Beverley and I will be returning

Through Expedia, I've been able to secure several nice stays for budget prices. This was a different, inferior experience. They tried to make it seem 'economy' .I was annoyed by automatic messages from 'Harry' telling me to text after 2 for a code, when check in started and when I'd arrive by pre-arranged means. I needed to swiftly check in but when I texted a little earlier to ensure my instructions arrived on time, I got an immediate response "19 mins and counting!" Then, when in the adjacent minster, a salvo of texts went off. This is the only contact I had with clearly absent staff. We are to enter by the side door - telling, There's no welcome message; the few scruffy leaflets don't pertain to Beverley. There's no lift. The many stairs are awkward; some don't have rails. When booking, I saw pics of an ensuite or private bathroom, but there wasn't even a sink or a mirror in mine. Illegal? There were several others to share the facilties with and Yale locks, so I felt anxious about locking myself out. Mine was clearly squeezed into a 'family suite' - which wasn't let out as such, since its number was appended on the few signs throughout the building. Some doors were unmarked and it was confusing to find one's way. The walls were thin, the pillows and duvet cheap and lumpy, the bed weak. There was a fridge which gurgled through the night. The Minster clock sang every 15 mins through the night. And the walls were very thin. The only good thing was the nice view over town.

The budget inn is just that. A bed and bathroom at a very reasonable price. I got the room with a dou ke and 2 x singles and an en suite bathroom. Paid 70 for 1 nigjt and I cant grumble. If you are visiting on a budget or just looking to crash for the nigjt. I would recommend this inn.

No problem parking and a permit issued, all done electronic but all went smoothly. Room coulddo with so.e tlc but it is a budget inn. Would definitely stay there again

Went above and beyond for us on Saturday evening. Such a great guy

I could not stay here it smelt awful. It was freezing and it was grubby.

Comfy bed. Heating unable to be controllef by guest. Room 12 was cold during night. Came on at 8am just as going out for breakfast. Stayed in better YHA for the money

Upon arrival at 4pm we were told our room wasn't ready. Check in was actually 2pm . When i said this wasn't ideal as we were stood outside with our luggage the person became immediately rude, Eventually at just after 5pm 3 hrs after check in we were let into our room, The whole place was disgustingly filthy,ripped curtains, dirty floors, thick dust everywhere , no shower only a shower head over a bath that had cold water. Loose electrical wires & only an old electric heater to keep warm that didn't look safe at all. The whole place was utterly shocking, unclean & run down.

Overall not bad, i mean it is a budget whatever it is , location couldnt be better , but maybe invest in some new bed linen and matresses and get rid of all the cobwebs and dust and i couldnt of complained for the price

Tatty place, room stank of old fusty smoke. Piles of junk in the entrance way. I know it cheap but that was next level. I walked in looked around and left

I know its a budget hotel/inn however Mouldy bathroom & damp walls i wasn't expecting yes its cheap and central getting a decent night's sleep isn't possible with paper thin mattress and banging doors!

Pleasently surprised with this "budget" hotel . Comfy bed, plenty pillows, bedside lamps, quality towels and spacious bathroom. Good value all round

Budget inn - you get what you pay for. Clean sheets, towels, no window blind over glazed front door. Room 14 only roll top bath and hand held showehead. Room 4, shower over bath, microwave & fridge. Check in by text message, free resident permit parking

The hotel was very quiet, clean and had everything we needed.

The owner is absolutely amazing. Was kind enough to change me to a lower floor room without a fuss. Bed in room 9 is not comfy at all. Amazing area, quiet during the week.
