Very nice hotel, tucked away in a quiet location surrounded by lawns and trees. We were in a room behind the main building which was very comfortable, well equipped and air conditioned. The staff were all very helpful and we will definitely stay again.

We had a great stay in a superior room. It was my wife, daughter (7) and I. There was plenty room for the three of us and the service was great. The grounds were lovely and we were spoiled with sun. The food was amazing! After dining on our first night the quality of food made the decision for the other nights
Service was great including late night dessert room service, and very understanding staff that still served us when we came to breakfast late one morning.

Lovely building. Gatehouse room newly renovated and stylish but tepid water from shower.
Initial greeting at reception more focused on the fact that we were there an hour early than welcoming us. No flexibility on the 3pm check in understandable sometimes but perhaps suggest where newly arrived travel weary guests can relax while waiting rather than just turning them away.
Staff seemed generally unhappy. Focused on tasks in hand rather than interacting with guests.
Service didn’t match the building and facilities.

We had a great stay in a superior room. It was my wife, daughter (7) and I. There was plenty room for the three of us and the service was great. The grounds were lovely and we were spoiled with sun. The food was amazing! After dining on our first night the quality of food made the decision for the other nights
Service was great including late night dessert room service, and very understanding staff that still served us when we came to breakfast late one morning.

This is our second stay at the Gatehouse apartment and we love it just as much as the first time. Set a short distance from the main hotel, it is really quiet, with great view of the garden and wooded area. The whole of the ground floor is ours and even with guests above us, it is sound proofed, so no noise. Lovely and clean and a really good size kitchen and dining area. We will be back.

Breakfast extremely good.
Room very clean but bedside table tatty which was a shame.
Would have benefitted from a coffee table and larger tv.
