Perfect pub with rooms. Just what you want; great bar staff who couldn’t do enough, simple but tasty food, quality breakfast and a fantastic walk literally from the back gate of the pub.
Bedroom was small - but we knew that when we booked.
Would love to return in the summer as there were spectacular views from the beer garden.

We were in Room 3 which was very small and could easily be improved by changing or removing a chair which did not fit under the dresser and, as placed in front of the wardrobe, prevented easy access to the latter (Apparently Room 4 is similarly challenging). A need to be organized and agile! It "worked" for us as a one night stay and it is a great location for accessing the Pennine Journey walking route. Evening meal was good and portions generous.

Room small as was the bathroom. You can switch on the bathroom light whilst lying on the bed. Sunday lunch, unfortunately lamb was tooooo over cooked, not pink at all. Disappointing experience.
