Big mention to Jane and Ollie who were so welcoming and friendly. Food was excellent. Room was quirky and lovely and quiet. Very peaceful. Very clean in rooms and in the pub itself. Lovely little town with lots of things to do in the area.

A lovely local pub with local customers. Very friendly. Good food. Most comfortable bed I have slept in for years. Parking right behind pub and free from 6pm to 9am (10am Sundays). Wet room excellent.

Very friendly hosts. We had a medical emergency and very thankful for extraordinary help provided.

We loved our weekend at The Globe Inn. The landlady, Jane was amazing, friendly, funny and informative. She made us feel so welcome. She served us fabulous breakfasts and the homemade dinners were delicious. The barman, Ollie was lovely and so helpful, he really is a great asset. The locals in the bar were friendly and chatty and very entertaining. Prices were good value. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It felt like home from home. We will definitely be staying here again when visiting family who have just moved to the area. I would highly recommend.

Nice quirky old style pub room which was surprisingly large. Breakfast was excellent. 'Wet Room' did look like it could flood the room easily. maybe it won't but I used a towel to ensure it didn't.

Jane the host was lovely and she was the cook as well and food was delicious the inn is over 150years old so you will have to take that into account but we had a great stay and would recommend

The Globe is a great pub/ bed and breakfast. The room we had was large and clean with a en-suite shower room. The breakfast was excellent and you can choose what you like from their cooked breakfast list the night before.The village of Buckfastleigh is very nice and you have the Abbey and moors on your doorstep. Great value.

Very friendly and accommodating staff Great food

We liked: bed was comfy, good central location, didn’t experience any noise issues either from outside or other guests, large fan provided welcome relief in hot weather, tray of teas / coffees with biscuits was provided, TV was small but adequate We didn’t like: bathroom was dirty (loo hadn’t been flushed and there was tissue in the bin on arrival), no hand soap in the bathroom (nor shower gel), no milk for hot drinks - there’s a fridge on the landing which supposedly contains milk portions but this was empty, only one hand towel provided for two guests, pub was closed when we returned from a night out at 22:45 on a Friday so no nightcap!, no breakfast available - sign on door says breakfast is 8-9am but the pub was locked when we arrived tried to go down at 8:45. Presume pre booking is therefore essential.

I was in Devon for just a one night stay at The Globe. The bed was super comfy and tbe bedroom and bathroom were very clean. The cooked breakfast was delicious and to much for me to manage.

We received a wonderful warm welcome and the same level of friendly hospitality throughout our stay. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the company of locals in the pub. We thoroughly recommend this as place to stay, eat or just have a drink in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Check was fast and easy. I was put in room 1 which kind of sat above the beer garden and so it was noisy. I requested a room change for something quieter and they gave room 4 which was perfect. Nice and quiet and got a good nights sleep. My only criticism was that although there was tea and coffee there was no milk options so had to go buy milk and there was no shower gel or soap in the toilet shower area. Easy fix as a coop next door. I suppose I could have asked but they already been accommodating with the room change and the cost was so insignificant for a pint of milk and shower gel. Seemed fair

We had a great nights stay at the Globe. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was pub food but amazing. The best Hunters Chicken ever and the steak and ale pie had huge chunks of meat. Breakfast was good too. The bed was very comfortable with a good nights sleep b

The bar staff, land lady, locals were lovely. If I am down in the area again I will 100% stay here the food was lovely, the beer was good and I felt at home down south. ( I am from West Yorkshire)

A little outdated but a great manager who made us very welcome

Slept really well, great staff welcoming and friendly. Large sunny room very comfy, good sized bed. Would recommend and stay again 😃
