A very clean room and a great bed. Our room was at the top of the hotel and I suppose that was our fault for not asking for a room on the first floor as we both have mobility issues.
The breakfast was first class and plentiful and the breakfast staff were very polite and friendly.
Hoping to be back next year but will ask for a room on the first floor

Not very welcoming receptionist, lots of stairs, no lift, had to carry our cases up three flights, no help offered both in our 80’s. Said on line free parking this is only street parking if you can find a space.
Hotel is shabby needs updating.
Wouldn’t go back.

Didn't have a very good experience at the Golf Hotel & was really disappointed for the money paid.
Was given a twin room instead of a deluxe double room (which i'd paid more for). Had arranged for an early check-in with hotel for an extra £20 but this had been forgotten about. Tried to make conversation with the member of staff checking me in but got nothing back. Room had a lovely view of the green but curtains were hanging off rail. The bathroom had an awful smell to it & toilet didn't flush properly. The bath hadn't been cleaned properly & cups provided in room were dirty. Overall the hotel was very dated & unwelcoming.

Unfortunately it was not an enjoyable stay and the staff were not interested.
The beds were clean but that was about it. Windows, wall skirting, ceilings all dirty, stained and lots of cobwebs.
Breakfast was okay.
We have no water pressure so the shower went cold very quickly. Then would be warm again one there was a bit of pressure. On the second day we had no water at all because they were "watering the potatoes" so they stopped and repressurised the boiler!
We were on the second floor.
We did feedback to Expedia, but the hotel were not receptive to them either.
Not worth the room rate.
I get that they have just been taken over and are renovating (not sure where) but this maybe should close, or limit the number of patrons until it is fit to run effectively.

The room was not serviced on two days out of four - the reason given was that the housekeeper did not work those days.
The restaurant was closed for evening meals at short notice.
The entrance door was closed and locked early in the evening and my keys did not work on occasions.

Centrally situated near to all amenities. My single room was basic but comfortable enough, spotlessly cleaned every day and quiet. Breakfast (included) was plentiful and well cooked and presented.
I recommend that you check the hot water on entry as when I checked in I wsinceas very tired after my journey and piled into bed. In the morning I found I had no hot water in sink or shower and went to reception to complain. No problem says the girl, I'll be up in 5 minutes to switch it on. Maybe the Guy who checked me in didn't think I looked like I used hot water, just saying.
The view from my window looking over the green would have been lovely had it not been for the fact that the windows to have not been cleaned since the building was built.

The kitchen closed at 8.40 so had to find somewhere else to eat. Shower had a dribble of cold water only. Paint peeling off walls in the bedroom. I asked for a partial refund as the shower not working which was flatly denied.
Whole place was in very poor condition. I’d never stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Room clean the staff have done there job however the room is dated, TV had no signal the hot water was cold on arrival content noise from extractor from kitchen, flooring squeaks in the room, shower didn't stay in holder, food at evening not the best chips over cooked staff were very good but the hotel is dated

Well located hotel for golf at Silloth. The properties decor is a bit tired and in need of some maintenance. The days we stayed there was only one young member of staff on and she had to look after arrivals, bar work and serving of food. Naturally it was a very slow and frustrating evening for customers as she was run off her feet. How she kept a smiling face I do not know. Some of us even asked if we could help her serve behind the bar to relieve the backlog. She politely refused our offers as not allowed. The manager should be ashamed!

Parking on street but plenty of it. Breakfast was decent and the room itself was large and comfortable. Main problem was a lack of hot water so I had to endure a rather cold shower.
