The King and Queen

Very comfortable room. Could not figure out how to turn the heat on and there is no one in the pub overnight to call on. Breakfast was disappointing.

I did not expect that the room would be detached from the pub and there was no one in the facility overnight. I had questions about how to turn on the heat but there was no one to ask. Staff person was very nice but when she checked me in and showed me the room I didn’t know it was going to get cold.

Lovely place to stay, well located. Room is excellent, enough space and storage. Decent bathroom. Big TV, fridge with a little freezer, tea and coffee bits and cereal & porridge for breakfast. Didn’t interact with staff much or use the pub as we had evening events all booked, but overall it was a perfect place to stay for a few nights. I’d definitely go again, can’t fault it really.

A nice pub with friendly staff. Although we didn't eat in the pub the food looked good. Would definitely stay again.

The property was easily accessible from the road and there's loads of parking available. Pretty handy when you can park your car right infront of your room. The staff were very helpful and provided useful information. The room , bed and amenities were clean and modern. Love how they've stocked up the fridge with breakfast. Loads of cereals available, good selection of coffee and tea and even thought of juice, yoghurt & milk. This here is a gem . Towels were provided, shampoo, conditioner shower gel . Why chose anywhere else when what you need for a night or longer is right here. I didn't get to eat at the pub but from what i heard , their food is delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Jeg bodde her 1 natt ifm bilferie i England. Puben leier ut 3 rom som ligger i et anneks lokalisert rett ved puben. Rommet hadde fin størrelse, var koselig og komfortabelt. De fleste ønskelige fasiliteter var tilgjengelig; -kjøleskap -TV -vannkoker med kaffe, kjeks, sjokolade og te -WIFI Badet var lite, men plassen effektivt utnyttet ALT var meget godt rengjort og vedlikeholdt Desverre så er ikke puben åpen for middagsservering på mandager 😒😒😒 En "kontinental frokost" var tilgjengelig på rommet; cornflakes, epler, grøt, juice, melk og yoghurt (inkludert) Parkering skjer på stedets område (inkludert) Det er lite å oppleve / gjøre i nærområdet - en er derfor avhengig av transport

Lovely room. Breakfast in the room (cereals yoghurt juice etc) really easy and quick when on the go, the pub itself is very welcoming large selection of beers and the food was great!

Lovely place to stay in a charming town. Unfortunately I didn't have time to eat out in the restaurant but it had a nice atmosphere.

room was fine. staff good but house keeping let it down. never changed towels or emptied bin. didnt wash up cutlery. just a little lazy. food in bar is way too expensive so didnt eat.

Had a really good stay here, everything you needed was in the room which was very clean, very warm and shower was excellent. Good choice for breakfast as well and meals in the pub where of a very high standard. We will definitely return to the King and Queen 😀

Very helpful staff, Continental breakfast was ideal and lots of variety to chose from. Comfy night , all in all a great stay, we will definitely use it again.

It was a clean room with breakfast already there ready for the morning. The staff were really helpful. However be aware to check that the heated towel rail is set as it only came on overnight, and you'll need to ask for a hairdryer.

Always a wonderful stay, clean, fresh room, comfy bed, great shower, TV, lovely continental breakfast in the room, cereals, breakfast bars, fruit, fresh milk, orange juice and yogurts in the fridge, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits, replenished daily. Lovely staff. Can't fault it!

The hotel staff and housekeeping were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant had a good menu and was excellent value. Room was comfortable and good Internet access. No cooked breakfast, but cereals and yoghurts/biscuits supplied in room, not in Restaurant. No shops in vicinity, but easy access to other places of interest and motorways.

Nice clean room in a nice pub, fridge in the room was a nice touch. Designated guest parking. Staff were friendly & helpful, would definitely come back

We arrived shattered, checked in easily with a lovely member of staff and was shown to our room. My fault entirely, in my haste to book I didn't pick up the room was located at the back of the pub - there was a fair amount of noise until gone 11pm (Saturday) - wouldn't normally be an issue but with an early start that day and the following day it wasn't ideal. Breakfast choices were left in the room (cereals, porridge, yoghurt, granola bar, fruit and orange juice) which was perfectly fine and appreciated. There were a couple of marks on the bedding - clearly something like black ink, nothing suspicious and for me the bed was a bit too soft (we all have different tastes). The room (1) had everything needed, also windows on two sides and a great fan to counter the heat. Would we stay again - yes, if we were not reliant on sleep and an early start.
