Lovely old hotel wiht internal gardens full of flowers located in historic village. Very comfortable. Our room had AirCon, some others didn't. Nice bar. Option to eat dinner in the garden as it was a warm evening.

I was down in Oundle for the soundle prog rock festival 3 days of fantastic prog music from 1pm to 1am ( at the Crown & rose) the hotel was next door to the venue, it was very comfortable, high quality, the TV had a USB so I could plug in some music, It had a fancy nancy coffee machine but I only like instant coffee, it is the best. the bed was comfortable, it was a wee bit hot - but I think UK hotels are going to have major problems in the years to come. Lots of old furniture and books in the corridors, nice spaces to sit and relax. . The breakfast was very good, beautiful room the mural reminded me of Anthony Phillips ( Genesis guitarist) album the Geese and The Ghost. It is a lovely hotel and parts date back to per British time, I have already booked my stay for next years soundle festival.

Superb hotel full of character. Our room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We dined in the restaurant and were very impressed with the choice offered particularly for my husband who is coeliac and has to have gluten free. Every member of staff we engaged with were so polite and friendly. Our stay was an absolute delight.

Staff on check in were helpful some of the restaurant staff not so much when asked if we could have more milk pots for tea and a toilet roll for room it was forgotten. On check in car park was full it’s not very big! Hotel also holds wedding receptions so it can get quite noisy up to midnight!

The Talbot Hotel is a very quaint hotel. It’s location in Oundle is ideal and central. The courtyard is a great place to soak up the sun with a cold beverage. Dorotha and Aaron were a pleasure to deal with, as were all staff. Enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this location.

This is a lovely old hotel in the pretty village of oundle, we stayed in a suite and it was massive! It would be ideal for a family as it had 2 bedrooms one with a huge king and one with twin beds

This is the second time we've stayed here - always a lovely, relaxing stay - nice atmosphere in the bar/lounge area. Very welcoming to dogs if you wish to bring your pet. We were blessed with bright blue skies & sunshine and there was plenty of outside seating. Great choice of breakfast too at reasonable price £15.50. Thoroughly recommend

Too many misbehaved dog whining continually in the bar area, one not on lead, therefore it kept coming under our table and sniffing!!
