I was overall happy with the room, not happy to pay £10 to park my car overnight I arrived at 7 30 pm Friday and left at 8 30 am ! Happy to pay the £10 for my champion Pekingese as this was agreed

Great stop over after visiting RHS Wisley on our way to Le Shuttle.

The reception man was very professional and greeted us warmly, gave us a potted history of the coaching inn and walked us to our converted stables room - all very pleasant. The breakfast was mediocre at best. Machine dispensed coffee and the young staff often stood around - not checking which foods need replenishing x. As a vegetarian there was no choice on the buffet table except lukewarm scrambled eggs and mushrooms - woopee! I had to request veggie mushrooms or smoked haddock, kippers etc and as I suspected the 2 sausages delivered to my table were completely tasteless x. In these days of veggie and vegan offerings they need to do better in my opinion.

Great staff. Rooms were dated and needed some additional cleaning. Apart from the room the food was good and Staff were friendly. Lovely old building. We were there for a wedding and must say the reception room with dressed exceptional.

The room was quiet and clean. The food at the bar was amazing!

Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en wij werden zeer gastvrij ontvangen. De bedden waren uitmuntend, zeer goed geslapen. De kamer daarentegen was smoezelig, stoffig en absoluut niet goed schoongemaakt. Daarnaast ontbraken er toiletartikelen en een föhn. Al met al geen 4 sterrenhotel te noemen. Wij geven het 3 steren.

The room was not clean, the carpets were stained and dirty, the chair was dirty, the shower was dirty. They changed the room which was better, however I was too tall to have a shower as the ceiling was so low so I had to bath. Good breakfast

One of the best hotel stays in a long time. The staff was very accommodating, very clean rooms and lovely restaurant. We were getting back late night and called in a food order and they even helped us get food before we went to bed. Will stay here every time now.

Great base for a visit to RHS Wisley. Friendly staff. Standard modern room. Perfect for a short stay. Excellent value and lovely meal in the main pub.

This property has lots of character , the rooms are clean and comfortable and the restaurant food and bar are both very good , this is our second visit

Convenient location in a nice village. Have stayed here many times. However the new parking fees and the cleanliness of this hotel has really let it down.

Property was very tired and needed a renovation but not all of it

Wasn’t terrible, but certainly not great. Room grubby! I had no remote for TV so hunted for it including under bed, wish I hadn’t! Deep clean needed. Shower spraying out of sides and shower door didn’t fit correctly, no toiletries not even any gel in shower. Breakfast totally average, didn’t look appetising at all, so just had toast!

Food in the restaurante was good and and a good value breakfast buffet. Afternoon tea was ok but limited choice of tea.

The only criticism I could make is over the evening meal. We had crusty bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar but there was not enough oil and vinegar. My steak was supposed to be medium but was more like medium rare. That said it was fine.

The Talbot is in a fabulous location, but is showing its age, with parts of the hotel needing a good clean or lick of paint. There is nothing major that is wrong, but when you arrive, and the person on reception is typing and carries on typing for a long time, finishes his work and only then says hello. Everything is OK, but it could be fantastic.

Nice place courteous staff.

Lovely room and a very comfortable bed.
