Appreciate the staff very much. He is so busy and quite helpful..

The hotel looked tired and of need of an update. The room was a lovely size but again it looked tired and in need of an update. The food was great but on one occasion we sat for over 3 and a half hours to just have a 2 course evening meal, service was very poor. It looked like they were very under staffed in the kitchen. But all in all a relaxing stay was had.

Lovely great big room but feels very outdated. Nice modern bathroom. Excellent food from restaurant.

Such a friendly welcome. Great breakfast. Large comfortable room. It was quiet and peaceful. They need to clean better. The hotel needs a deep clean. There appears to be dust and cobwebs around the hallways and windows. Our room was not at all dirty but it needed proper dusting. I would not hesitate to return. Great price and good night sleep

This is our second stay at this wonderful hotel, the staff are so welcoming and the food is amazing, we were quite late arriving this time but we were still able to eat in the restaurant and never felt like we were being rushed. We look forward to our stay next year 😊

Itwas clear that the property is in need of significant upgrades. Furniture and fixtures looked worn, and the atmosphere didn’t feel fresh or well-maintained. With some renovation and better upkeep, it could be a much more comfortable stay, but as it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it until improvements are made.

Dated hotel and dusty ornaments in dining room. Bed and bathroom were clean which was main thing but room needed good hoover. Breakfast on first morning was fab but very different second day. Staff are lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Evening food in restaurant was really good. Was ok base for our family to stay for local wedding. Good price

The room was not what was shown in the picture, very dated, hadn't been hoovered, there was mould around the bath and the shower curtain could do with a wash and there was a smell of damp.

The hotel room/suite was clean and nicely decorated. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a lovely couple of days and would definitely go back.

Great location for my family to stay at for a wedding at Hestercombe. Hotel is a bit dated but comfy. Bed and bathroom were clean although shower curtain needed changing. Carpets are worn and needed good hoover. Food in restaurant is excellent. Staff are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel was v clean and nice and staff were friendly and efficient. We sometimes had to wait for the staff at the reception but overall I and my colleagues were satisfied with this hotel, v good service, thank you.

Pleasant place to stay would recommend

Lovely bedroom and bathroom specious. Comfy bed. Very clean. Good internet connection. But not much to do in the area around the hotel.

Nice old hotel. Interesting menu including fish dishes.

Particular enjoyed my stay at the walnut tree hotel. The service and food was very good, the breakfast was made to order and fresh. The hotel is in need of some upgrading but perfect for 1-2 night stay

Nice spacious room, however no air con, and no fan either meant sleeping with the windows open which tended to be noisy. Great breakfast and plenty of choice.

Great place to stay to break journey on the way south.

I’m well into 30+ stays good size rooms good staff free parking and breakfast starts at 7 am. Wi-Fi works well.
