voco THE CLIFTON FOLKESTONE by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Can’t say it was the best hotel I stayed in. The hotel was going under a refurb and lack of sign posts to floors/rooms meant we kept getting lost. Our room had no phone signal and couldn’t connect to the WiFi and the bathroom was very tiny (as someone who is 6ft3 I struggled in the bathroom and shower. Nice location, nice hotel in general, friendly staff but probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Very comfortable room, excellent restaurant, very welcoming, great location

Older Hotel which has been recently renovated. Rooms were very comfortable but would have liked the option of a queen bed. Only downside was air conditioning was a bit on the warm side even with the temperature turned down. We were able to open the window to let fresh air in. No onsite parking but there is street parking just outside and also a carpark just around the corner. Restaurant food was very good and the staff were excellent, very professional.

Booked a 'cosy' room and it was a little on the snug side, but fine for one night. Dinner in the restaurant was a bit disappointing and as I checked out at 5am, I didn't have breakfast. Hotel is clean, modern and nicely located on the sea front but the reason for my low score: the service generally was woefully slow!

Great staff. M P White's restaurant served delicious food, and I considered it fairly priced. Bedroom was spacious & the view was expansive

Was just an over night stay, but was very comfortable, very clean, friendly efficient staff. Lovely location. Will definitely stay again

Lovely hotel, fabulous rooms, friendly check in staff and complimentary biscuits on arrival. Parking not brilliant - managed to get the last spot. Not sure where else we would have gone. Lift a bit weird - we used the stairs.

Lovely seating area outside. Recently refurbished bathroom was very nice. Air conditioning in the room was fab .

unable to accommodate us in the room we had booked, but given 2 single rooms and comp breakfast and drinks, They did the best they could under the circumstances. Unfortunately our rooms were on the same floor but quite a way from one another, but for the one-night stay, it's no real problem

Excellent hotel

Was a lovely stay.

The hotels.com website reverted the date to the same day, rather than my wedding anniversary. So, we never made ut to the hotel. Noticed the problem on confirmation email, but they refused to change the date without further payment. Might try the hotel again, wont be using hotels.com.

Property is nice. Parking is a problem to find and the inroom wifi and TV services was awful (did not work)

Comfy bed and very clean room. This hotel DOES NOT have in site parking. It’s on the road which should be a lot clearer when looking for secure parking for a car full of holiday gear

Lovely breakfast with large choice. Comfortable bed. Close to lots of shops. 2 minute walk to car park.

We stayed for six days and the hotel was excellent . Very good breakfast with attentive friendly staff. Room had been renovated . It was clean and had a calming atmoshere. Very good bar area also had quieter spaces near reception. Bed very comfortable . Amazing sea front views from our front facing room. .

Absolutely beautiful and clean. Very spacious and extremely clean.loved the decor and service especially from the cleaning staff.
