Excellent stay at a lovely old French Hotel with exceptionally friendly service and a great quiet location only 20 min walk to Chamonix Centre or take the train.

It was ok

Good budget option in Chamonix, just a 20 min walk into the town, in a nice location next to a lake and the start of a woodland walk, giving another longer option to get into town. Great value breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Wifi worked just fine. Staff made sure I d have no issues getting to my room late at night , after staff had gone home. Would consider staying here again.

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits dans cet hôtel situé à une vingtaine de minutes à pieds du centre de Chamonix. Accueil très agréable, chambre et salle de bain correctes. Bonne literie. Bon petit déjeuner servi sous forme de buffet. Le parking est un plus.

Very reasonable accommodation on the outskirts of Chamonix, walkable in about 20 minutes, right by the bus stop for skiing! Staff were very very helpful! Will return

The location of Hotel des lacs is perfect for someone who wants to be in Chamonix for UTMB because downtown is only a short walk giving easy access to race activities and restaurants. The Hotel is located across the street from a beautiful park with a little lake. Our room was clean quiet and simple. Breakfast was available for a small additional charge. The staff was friendly and helpful. We felt at home.

Good location a couple of kilometres outside the very center of town. Bus stop just outside so easy to access or a short walk. Easy access to trails for running, hiking and climbing. Friendly staff. Breakfast very simple and limited but was offered which was convenient. Dont have high hopes. During our stay the elevator was broken.

Hyggeligt og familiært. Vil komme tilbage på grund af netop de kvaliteter. Simpel men fin morgenmad. Tæt på byen.

숙소 앞에 호수가 있어서 산책하기 좋습니다. 또한 호텔 스태프들이 매우 친절합니다. 그러나 에어콘이 없어서 더울 때 문을 열어놓았는데, 방충망이 없어서 계속해서 벌이 들어와서 난처했습니다.

Phenomenal stay! Staff was amazing and helpful, the location was just outside Chamonix with an amazing walk into the City Center. I would 100% stay again!

Very small room and bed. Also, small bath and shower. No tea or coffee in the room. No real lake in front as name suggests. Only a small pond.

Lovely room in a timeless hotel in an amazing location. Great breakfast, helpful and accommodating - good food in restaurant 10 steps away too. Suitable location for a 35min walk to the L’Aguille du Midi.

We had a great time at the Hotel Les Lacs. The staff was superb and kind always in our requests. The room is simple, but comfortable and most important “warm”. The shower was deliciously hot. It’s really worth to take the breakfast, again simple but effective. Our room has a beautiful view to the Glacier, we never closed our curtains, during the night when we wake up, we just looked out to the Glacier reflecting the moon light, magical.

Hôtel un peu vieillot mais confortable. Bon séjour grâce à un personnel extrêmement accueillant et très bon petit déjeuner.

Nice cosy place. Room and bathroom were great, old building but comfortable. Though disappointed that there wasnt a kettle for tea, nor shampoo and bodywash!
