If you aren't on the first floor it is a heck of climb up to the rooms. 75 steps if you are on third floor and carrying your luggage. No way to make coffee/tee in room. Breakfast was average. Room was clean.

Such a special place! The inn is right in town with plenty of restaurants nearby. It was within walking distance from the train station. The breakfast was lovely, and the owners were warm and welcoming, just like everyone we met in town. For the area, we enjoyed the river cruise, and a two-night stay was perfect for an introduction to incredible Bacharach.

Bacharach was one of our favorite towns in Germany and this hotel stay was very comfortable. The attic room had great AC during a heat wave, and it was the perfect size for our family of three with a teenage son.

Old country charm, clean rooms, located in the center of town, within walking distance from the train station. The only negative for me was no elevator, only because I brought luggage that was too heavy. Carry on luggage would have been a better choice.

It is pretty basic accommodation and a pretty old building. The family has done a great job renovating it and they keep it beautifully clean. The breakfast area is also well appointed and and the food served was high-quality and fresh. That said, there is no elevator, and we had a room in the tower, which necessitated going up five flights of stairs, carrying our suitcases. We lived, but it was a bit of a hassle. Parking, is outside of the city walls and not convenient though that is not the Hotel‘s fault. The street scene and dining scene in Bacharach is pretty quiet and everything closes down very early. The restaurant right across the street from the hotel serves decent food. The Post hotel with the open courtyard did not. Avoid. Bacharach is definitely worth a stop but would not recommend more than a one night day.

At checkin I was expecting a “welcome” but instead I got a “passport”

Well-located and a great base for exploring Bacharach and surrounds. Spotless room and well maintained. Excellent breakfast. Would stay there again.

Love this beautiful & friendly hotel.

Beautiful little town and great central location on the Rhine. Overall our 3 night stay was good. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast had good choices and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Of note, there is no elevator or assistance to bring up your bags. We were on the 2nd floor and it took some effort to get the bags up the stairs. There is also no staff to help with any issues after 6 pm. Not usually an issue but we lost the air conditioning one night and had to wait until the following morning to get it fixed.

Excellent service and accommodations for our stay. We were able to store our luggage before check-in and after we checked out. The included breakfast buffet was superb. Thank you for a truly memorable visit while staying in the beautiful town of Bacharach on the Rhine River
