Front desk was very courteous and told us upon check in that housekeeping will not clean the rooms daily to help the environment, unless we requested it. It was very good because we were able to manage expectations. The room was spotless but amenities are lacking (lotion, shampoo).

4 Sterne stehen draußen dran, drinnen fühlt es sich eher nach ökologisch motivierter Vernachlässigung an. Reinigung gibt es nur auf Anfrage – offenbar auch vor Anreise. Ergebnis: leere Seifenspender, kein Ersatz-Toilettenpapier, Staub, muffiger Geruch, flackerndes Licht und ein Lüftungsschacht mit historischem Wert. Dazu Ventilatoren im Winter, ein Bad ohne Haken, Türen mit fehlenden Zimmernummern und Zimmer, die sich von innen nicht abschließen lassen.
Bonus: unfreiwillige Teilnahme am rheinischen Karneval bis 04:00 Uhr morgens, direkt gegenüber dem Festsaal einquartiert. Mehrfache Beschwerden? Wurden konsequent ignoriert. Wer Schlaf sucht, ist hier falsch. Wer Ignoranz schätzt, goldrichtig.

I might never have tried a more lazy staff! At check in they was slow and couldnt even find the reservation. Then when I told them my name(as they saw in my passport), then suddenly they could find it, in the same papers lying on the desk they already checked.
The hotel look nice at pictures, but when you arrive it seems more like a leftover from the Soviet time.
I have tried to get the hotel to send me the final invoice twice, but no reaction at all. It will take them 2 minutes. And the reason why I didnt get it was because I didnt realize I had to ask for it myself. I guessed that since I didnt get it they would probably send it by email, as many does today. BUT NO!
Good location though, but not a 4-star hotel. Not even on a sunny day!
