卡拉瓦多司海灘

This was our first hotel experience as a couple, as we normally hire a villa, car and fend for ourselves. However, family tragedies dictated that we needed to escape and be “looked after” in order to de-stress, rest and recharge our batteries after six weeks of heartache. To a large extent, the Karavados Beach Hotel allowed us to do that, but ….. there were a few things that could’ve been better - let’s get those out of the way first …… The main disappointment, and not the hotel’s fault per se, was the fact that its location is rather isolated, and a lengthy and arduous walk was the only way of experiencing other eating/drinking establishments. It won’t be the first time I say this, but a car is definitely needed, especially if your stay is lengthy. Secondly, the food served, especially the food served in the breakfast and evening buffet, was “warm” at best - nothing wrong with the quality or quantity though. Thirdly, the room we were in (deluxe with sea/mountain views had very little storage furniture - we managed okay, but a cupboard/chest of draws would’ve made life easier. Fourthly, the pool, which was excellent, was not available to use until 10am each morning - my wife loves a swim before breakfast, so that was a major disappointment for her. Finally, the absence of information, both of a tourist nature, and a housekeeping nature, was very noticeable in their absence. We arrived for a late-night stay before moving to our next stop on our trip. The room was clean and inviting, the staff were very professional and welcoming, we left before the breakfast and the staff packed breakfast for the kids for us to go, we appreciated it a lot!

Struttura molto bella con piscina vista mare. Attaccata ad Agios Thomas e a 15 minuti da Argostoli e da molte spiagge belle. Abbiamo provato la cucina del ristorante a cena con la formula buffet ed è stato tutto fantastico. Qualità della materia primae varietà delle preparazioni della chef Teresa ci hanno stupito. Anche il servizio Bar ottimo grazie a Pietro. Appartamento grande e con tutto il necessario. Torneremo sicuramente!

Spiaggia a 5 minuti molto bella. Ottima colazione internazionale, con uova yogurt greco pane panini marmellate. O cornetto Ve lo mangiate al vostro bar in Italia

it was a pleasant stay overall..perfect location into the nature...a little bit old-fashioned room ..but very clean and all well organized!see you next year!

Πολύ όμορφο ξενοδοχείο παρ' ότι είναι παλιό, πολύ φροντισμένο με εξαιρετικό περιβάλλοντα χώρο με δέντρα και κήπους. Άνετο πάρκινγκ και φανταστική παραλία κοντά στο ξενοδοχείο. Πολύ καλό πρωινό με άψογο σέρβις.

Hotellet ligger med den smukkeste udsigt til vandet og en lille strand 10 min og 2 hyggelige familie restauranter. Her bor du på landet tæt på bjerge. 20 min. i bil til en by Argostoli. Hotellet trænger til at blive malet og få nye gardiner i spisesalen. Værelserne trænger også til at blive malet. Men ser man bort fra det, er det udsigten der er værd at komme der for! Vi boede der i 14 dage. Lejede bil CBR i lufthavnen og kørte rundt på hele øen. Vandrede i bjergene. Besøgte mange restauranter, som laver vidunderlig mad...

Trevlig personal, okej frukost, ändå bra värde för pengarna Hårda och dåliga sängar, ganska omoderna rum, ganska dåligt läge om man vill ta sig till de finare stränderna. hotell mer inriktat på medelålders par som vill vara på hotell"området", ligga vid polen och dricka i baren på kvällarna, ändå bra värde för pengarna, då hotellet var billigt. Icke existerande Wifi på rummet, som det ändå står att det finns, detta borde tas bort, wifi fungerade i receptionen..

A nicely run, quirky, hotel where a return visit will be on the agenda

Hotel molto carino, stanza molto bella con balconcino che da sul mare. Personale gentile, simpatico e accogliente. Unica nota negativa il wifi funziona un po quando vuole.

Came with little expectation and found out it's a really nice place. Village like and quiet. lovely rooms and view. The breakfast can be better.

Stayed 3 nights in Juky. Quiet location, good view over value and mountain. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and functional. Air conditioning worked well. The pool was a great place to cool off on arrival. Meals were available, and were of good quality if limited choice (before peak season, due to cancellations from Greek economic situation). The local beach was a short walk downhill, with a small sandy area and a small rocky area; the day we were there it was ok, but not great.

Camera non molto grande,con letti singoli e bagno un po' piccolo ma tutto sommato pulita e confortevole. Ottima la vista dal terrazzino. Mi sentirei di consigliare la formula b&b

We found the availability of this hotel when searching online for specific dates for a holiday to Kefalonia. Other reviews about its remote location and ability to relax and unwind appealed to us. This cannot be overstated! We chose to hire a car for 3 days. As we have had such a fantastic time, next time we will hire a car for the whole of our stay. Other reviews mention having a room on the second floor: we did not have to request this - our room had already been allocated on this preferred floor. The views are breathtaking. The pool is lovely, a lot bigger than you might expect for a hotel of this size. The bar area is great, having a bit inside and also seating outside. Our bathroom and the loos near the bar were impeccably clean and our room was made up every day. Our towels were changed once during the week, which was adequate. There are two beaches within walking distance: St Thomas's and Trapezaki. Both are down very steep hills, so this must be considered if you are not very agile. But you can park at both, so if you have a car, that makes it easier. Having a car is also beneficial if you want to eat out, as both beaches have small tavernas (St Thomas = 2, Trapezaki = 1). Eating at the hotel is "OK" but not fine dining level. The staff all speak superb English and Reception arranged our car hire. The gardens are lovely, if a little unkempt. Try Denis's Taverna, Trapezaki beach for a meal out. Stunning and VERY high class. Tip: take own teabags!

Hotel vicino alla spiaggia che si raggiunge con un tratto di strada ripido ma percorribile anche con i mezzi di circa 300/400 metri al max. Igiene complessiva accettabile e condizioni della struttura buone, alcune parti non funzionali come la fontana all'ingresso e la piscina dei piccoli. Stanze rifatte tutti i gg così come le pulizie nel bagno, aria condizionata e cassaforte incluse nella tariffa base. Non sono stanze lussuose ma modeste e spoglie, non vengono tirate a lucido e un po' di polvere e qualche insetto sporadico si trovano. Sono alto 183 cm e ho trovato il letto corto. Colazione a buffet discreta per qualità ma volendo abbondante, il latte é freddo ma si può far scaldare al bar. La spiaggia vicina é piccola e graziosa, dall'aspetto selvatico e naturale e a mio parere ben rappresenta il fascino dell'isola, poco accessoriata (niente lettini e ombrelloni, presente una sola doccia con cabina per cambiarsi); all'imbocco vi sono un paio di ristorantini di cucina locale affacciati sul mare che offrono pietanze gustose e a buon mercato. Il centro di Karavasos dista un paio di chilometri ma non offre pressoché nulla e per vedere un po' di vita é necessario spostarsi alla vicina Argostoli dove troviamo ristoranti e negozi. Se invece si desidera solo avere un po' più di scelta sulla ristorazione é sufficiente spostarsi alla ancora più vicina Vlachata. Personale gentile e disponibile.
