Looking for a nightmare vacation? You've come to the right place! We read the comments - we couldn't believe it. The price convinced us... and we made the mistake of a lifetime. We're here for 9 nights in the old wing: Looks like a hotel from the 80's without proper maintenance Smelly hallways of dirty carpets. The room looks like an abandoned warehouse - scratched parquet, a broken refrigerator next to a new refrigerator, an air conditioner that makes a noise like an airplane but cools like a burning candle (and also puts out dust!), a sunken bed, a broken toilet, broken sockets, a balcony door that doesn't lock, broken lighting, a clogged sink, and a floor that hasn't heard a mop in years. The reception? They smile and say "come in the morning... maybe they'll free up some rooms." In the meantime - we sleep three nights without air conditioning. reception, lobby, dining room and public areas are all crowded. Breakfast with a thousand people, all industrial. Don't do this to yourself.

We payed extra for a room with a double bed and view of the garden. All we saw was the roof that stretches out towards the garden and the room had two single beds. We had to ask 5-7 times over the span of two days for new beds or a new room, but ended up pushing them together ourselves, only for the housekeeping to put them back. This is NOT a 5-star hotel, 3 at BEST. Do not waste your money here.

Ich kann die extrem schlechten Bewertungen nicht teilen. Wir hatten allerdings auch das VIP Bungalow mit eigenem Pool. Der Service und die Mitarbeiter waren extrem zuvorkommend und freundlich. Trotz dass wir sogar mit Hund da waren. Unser kleiner Chihuahua durfte überall mit hin, bis auf das Restaurant, was aber völlig okay ist. Unser Bungalow war sauber aber schon etwas älter was die Ausstattung betrifft. Die Klimaanlage hat super funktioniert. Ich würde das Hotel mit 3 Sternen bewerten anstatt 5, was aber auch für einen Familienurlaub perfekt war. Wer High-End Urlaub sucht mit Ruhe ist hier falsch. Aber für einen Familienurlaub super schön und am Besten einen Mietwagen mit einkalkulieren, weil es auf der anderen Seite der Insel sehr schöne Orte gibt. 😊

Dirty all over, staff rude and the room I saw online wasn’t what I got!

Beautiful hotel in convenient location. Customer service excellent. Elevators not all working and has to walk down 15 flights of stairs. 1 elevator never worked at all. A/C didn’t work properly. Kept turning off and switch would not turn back on. I believe the switch plate needed to be replaced. Beautiful breeeze of the ocean accommodated for lack of proper a/c.

Stort hotell med många rum och gäster, poolområdet alldeles för litet för den mängden gäster. Viserligen fanns en inomhuspool men där vill man inte vara när det är sommar. Generellt äldre hotell och kändes tydligt att det var slitet, framförallt rummen var väldigt slitna, skadade och mögel hittades. Vi fick besök av kackellackor i rummet, två dagar under vår veckas vistelse. Skulle nog välja annat hotell nästa gång, inget 5 sjärnigt hotell. Maten var det inget fel på!

We booked 7 nights in a “Garden VIP Suite with Semi Sharing Pool” at Rodos Palace Hotel, expecting a premium experience based on the description and photos. Unfortunately, the reality was far from that. While the hotel grounds look nice, both the rooms and common areas are very worn and poorly maintained. Our suite had rusted lamps, loose electrical cables in the bathroom covered with tape, cracked and damaged woodwork, stained sunbed mattresses, and loose decking around the pool. The wallpaper was peeling, and only one of three bathroom lights worked when we arrived. The main pool area was also neglected, with many broken sun loungers and dirty, stained mattresses. Overall, the hotel feels like it had its glory days more than 10 years ago and has not been kept up to the standard it still advertises. We complained to reception on the first and second day, then followed up in writing on the third day with photos. The hotel offered us another suite, but it had the exact same problems, so we stayed in the original room. Hotels.com later refunded 3 of the 7 nights, which we appreciate, but it doesn’t change the fact that the “VIP suite” and the hotel in general were neither VIP nor five-star in reality.

Hotel in amazing location and beautiful beach. Ok as a four star hotel but really wouldn’t call it five , as the finishes were poor. Few issues; 1-dangerous large mirror that was cracked and we reported it twice and nothing done about it. 2-wrong pictures of chosen suite didn’t have pool as advertised , and we were told Expedia got it wrong . 3- iron room had timer light that kept going out whilst trying to iron which is dangerous . 3-advertised with coffee tea making facilities and we had one coffee pod in the whole week, plus our friends were charged for their coffee in their room , 4- city tax higher than advertised on site and were slightly shocked when checking in and presented with the invoice. 5- though there is a large amount of breakfast available , the hot breakfast was cold to warm if you were lucky and we tried at different times and always the same.

Property needs remodeling and updating

Efter fire dage på Rodos Palace står vi tilbage med en blandet oplevelse, hvor både beliggenhed og enkelte servicemomenter trækker op – mens vedligeholdelse og organisering trækker ned. Værelset og komforten Værelset lever desværre ikke op til billederne online. Det er slidt, indretningen er anderledes end forventet, og sengen var decideret skæv og meget brugt – ikke optimal for en god nats søvn. Kaffemaskinen virkede ikke og fremstod ulækker, og airconditionen larmer så meget, at det påvirker komforten. Værelserne skulle være lydisolerede, men vi kunne høre naboernes samtaler, hvilket bekræfter, at beskrivelsen ikke helt holder. Rodos Palace har sine stærke sider: beliggenheden, receptionens service og enkelte smil fra barpersonalet. Men værelsernes tilstand, støjniveauet og underbemanding trækker helhedsoplevelsen ned. Kommer man med realistiske forventninger, kan man stadig få en udmærket ferie, men der er potentiale, der ikke bliver udnyttet

Χρειάζεται ανακαίνιση! Το δωμάτιο μύριζε άσχημα. Υπήρχαν παντού μυρμήγκια και μια κατσαρίδα περιφερόταν στο δωμάτιο. Πίσω από το κομοδίνο ήταν πολύ βρόμικα και υπήρχε ιστός με μεγάλη αράχνη.

Ok but outdated, overpriced for the provided quality

Dining arrangements were ordinary. There was a restaurant at the rear that was only availabile for guests that had pre-bought all their dining. This was often near empty, while the main dining hall was chaotic. Additionally one lift wa only available for people on floor 16, while the other two lifts often provide a slow service.
