It was not the best with the price charged

My parents visited after I booked this property for them without much idea of lrje area and property. As per their feedback getting their isn’t straight and area feels odd. Doesn’t feel like resort as looked so nice in pic. Property isn’t maintained up to the standards of the pic. and their service was just OK.

The best part about the property was staff and the food at the on site restaurant. The staff was always ready to help with a smile on their face and greeted everyone with respect. Food was excellent. However, the room I stayed in was terrible. The room was below average. Bedsheets had stains on it which is a big no no in hospitality business. There was no heat in the room. I did try calling the front desk but didn’t get through them. Bathroom was in terrible condition. Shower door was not functioning properly. There was no hot water at all considering winter time. Overall, not happy with the rooms as I had two separate bookings.

The place was falling apart. Leaky taps, insufficient towels, limited breakfast options, no gym. Not a property suitable for travellers used to a certain basic standard. We're afraid we will not return.

Location is not something you would feel right about, but the property and services are amazing. Had a great time.

Nice hotel. Good service. Shower door was broken, not in the best condition. Spa has no hot water you can’t shower there. And most items on the spa menu aren’t even available so that was disappointing. But it is a comfortable stay with great food in the restaurant.

It was not what I had expected & what I had seen in photos while booking. For e.g., I booked a room with bathtub in balcony & it was not available when we checked in. Services were too slow. Frequent power cuts were so annoying. The room was shouting for maintenance, for instances, the blinds behind the bed were all broken which shunned the privacy. It was not at all worth the hefty amount of money I spent on booking it.

Was my 2nd stay at this property, hence already was much familiar. Property and ambience is much relaxing, staff is well behaved, food is excellent. Small nitpics : The road leading up to the property, though small, and needing maintenence, was only slight inconvnient, but since mostly people stay inside the resort ecosystem only, hence didn't effect much. WiFi internet provided but a little slow(~2 Mbps), TV(non-smart) have satellite dish(Tata sky), couldn't get channels added to watch Euro. The kitchen closes at 10:30 in the night, hence only had to think through for some late night snacking, else rest of the experience was really great.

We called the resort twice and left voicemail with our telephone no but there was no call back. The rooms were cleaned after we reached at 8 pm. For additional towel we had to call 3 times and we got them after an hour. Other than this, food was ok, location good and property well maintained.

Amazing location by the banks of the Ganges, fabulous grounds including swimming pool. Staff superb, very helpful nothing was too much trouble for them, from putting a lounger on our balcony to printing out flight boarding pass.Great communication before arrival. Very knowledgeable guide for safari. On the down side, food was somewhat average and lacking in variety. I succumbed to a bout of diahorrea half way through our stay and only ate at the resort. Despite this we loved our stay and would definitely return if in the area. Thanks - literally for everything

The hotel reception is extremely unprofessional. No respect whatsoever. They charged 3000 INR for an extra guest that stayed in our room due to emergency as the road this hotel is on is dangerous to go out alone at night. Everything is 5 tines the price then any decent regular hotel. We didn’t even check out of our room and they booked the room to other guest when they had the entire hotel empty. When I ask why they said they have a house guest that always stays in that room and that I had to empty the room. This shows the class of management this hotel has. I am a world traveler and I travel for business around the world but never seen hotel reception so unprofessional like this.

A peaceful hideaway resort for those, that want to have a short break from exhausting Indian cities. For some reason the hotel did not have any information of our pre-paid reservation at our arrival, but they fixed us a nice room although the hotel was supposed to get full the next day. Very friendly service, extremely nice Manager couple and safe area to hang around. River ganga just at the back yard. Nothing interesting within a walking distance, and with the extremely high price level at the hotel (food, spa etc.) make sure your budget carries staying and eating here - if not, I do not recommend Aalia. We were obviously the only foreigners at the resort during our 4 night stay. Especially during the weekend a lot of Indian families came to have short holidays at Aalia. Indian families = a lot of noice and unfortunatey not so well behaving kids and even adults at the pool side. Good breakfast (although obviously very Indian), quite good restaurant, bar and room service and good wifi in all areas (incl. rooms). Highly recommended for a short, peaceful break, if you are only into this.

Fantastic experience! Villas are good for the extended family since one villa compromises of One Master Bedroom and two decent size bedroom plus a study/living room and a small kitchenette and a huge terrace/balcony. Since we were only couple, we booked Riverfront Suite. This place is good only if you have your own transportation or hired taxi, since it is away from Haridwaar and Rishikesh approximate 45 minutes on either directions. Overall it was excellent. Manager Mr. Chauhan was very cooperative and going out his way to feel us homely! Private Aarti at Ganges with Mr. Chauhan and his family was good !
