Lovina Central Hostel

This was one of my favourite hostel experiences in my 12 months of travel. From the moment I arrived, Edi and his team were super welcoming and friendly, even giving me a free fruit plate, tea and a foot massage on arrival !! Edi will go out of his way to make your stay memorable. He can help with any tours you might want to do (but is not pushy), he even allowed me to use one of his other villas to relax by the pool as there were no guests staying there - this was really above and beyond for me, and the sort of service one doesn’t forget. My room was basic, big and comfortable enough. The shower is a bit hit and miss (pressure not great). Unfortunately the wifi isn’t strong enough to reach the room, so you have to go downstairs to connect - this is really my only criticism of the whole place. The location of the hostel is perfect, right by the beach and near to bars and restaurants, so you don’t have to venture too far if you don't want to. If you go to bed early (like I dot) then you may catch some noise from the live bands playing nearby, but that’s to be expected in a town like this. Breakfast is basic but good, and always served with a smile :) Can’t recommend this place highly enough if you’re looking for a budget stay in Lovina. We loved our stay. We booked the special with a free welcome drink and massage, which was a foot massage and iced tea. The host went out of his way to look after us, even getting us free bicycles to use and local food from a vendor for 5000rp. The room had a balcony and seating and the area was close to everything. We even booked snorkelling and dolphin tours for about $10 each
