Yabbiekayu delivers more than nature; It offers guests informal, authentic javanese hospitality known for its warmth. If you stay here, expect to exchange pleasantries with the staff and owners that can sometimes turn into full-blown eye-opening conversations. Speaking to one of the cleaners, I learned how much the owner Dave cared about his staff like family. I also learned from Dave himself how the humble bungalows were an engineering feat, built to withstand earthquakes and liquification aside from the scorching heat at midday typical of Yogyakarta's climate. The hotel operates sustainably. They grow various herbs, fruits, and vegetables, so guests can always have fresh ingredients. Food waste goes to the chickens. The hotel runs partially on solar energy. And it's equipped with a mechanism for groundwater replenishment. I ended my stay with deep appreciation for the hotel infrastructure, the business model, and most importantly the people who run it.

Good healthy breakfast. Comfortable stay. Eco friendly environment. Excellent communication via WhatsApp - like it. Our bung as low faced padi field. Good to relax, walk round the village and chill from the hustle and bustle of the city especially after 2N in Malioboro

Great experience, staff were exceptional and very helpful from check-in, to recommending local sights, to booking activities and transportation, and to check out. Restaurant on site was excellent, and the menu provided Western and Indonesian options that were wonderful. We asked Yabbiekayu to book transportation from and to the airport, as well as a driver to take us to Borobudur and Prambanan. They also booked a batik class for us at a local shop. The lodging was exceptional: unique, comfortable, clean, well thought out, and a great experience for our family with three young kids.

Walau tanpa AC, menginap disini sangat nyaman, menyenangkan dan tenang. Lokasi sedikit jauh dari pusat wisata seperti maliobro tapi karena terletak didesa wisata bisa berkeliling daerah sekitar dan melihat produk sekitar dan menikmati suasana persawahan

Konsep dari Yabbiekayu ini sangat menarik. Konsisten sebagai eco resort. Semua kamarnya tanpa AC tetapi sudah dikonsep sedemikian rupa sehingga tidak panas. Suara gemericik air sunguh menambah suasana tenang dan damai. Semua makanannya adalah hasil dari kebun mereka sendiri dan menunya menu sehat tetapi enak. Ownernya sangat ramah dan baik sekali. Anak anak saya suka sekali menginap di sini. Suasana pedesaan sungguh terasa. Jika pagi bisa melihat para petani bekerja di sawah.
