Hotel Beretta

Very near the railway station and nice staff. The staff let us settle down those luggage in the room before they clean the room. These are the only GOOD things I can mention. The others are average or slightly below average. I chose it because I only stayed one night before I left by railway and it is really convenient to walk the station, so I sacrifice somethings.

The location is exceptional and facilities were second to none. Loved the breakfast at Bar Tosca.

Very nice stay in Varenna! Great staff! We loved the location . Easy to get to the restaurants, lake , ferry and train. Nice little restaurant on first floor with a wonderful breakfast selection. Varenna was beautiful !

Management staff was great.

Great staff in a great location, readily available over WhatsApp. Will say, the AC didn’t work as well as we would’ve liked and the temperature was set very low and it was still hot. Shower was very small but functional. Was great for our needs

Good in technology

No curtains covering double doors to balcony so no privacy or night shade. Safe did not work and is so small it can be picked up and walked off with; not secured. Paper cups for coffee and coffee pods not replenished for 2nd day stay so couldn’t even make instant. Beat thing is it’s location to restaurant below and waterfront.

We are well-traveled and know what to expect and are not demanding The treatment we received from whoever is responsible for making our stay great was disgraceful. Despite contacting her, she refused to provide basic provisions that are made available in every hotel or apartment where guests stay, that her room staff had forgotten to leave for us. This happened on two days, even though she had been contacted and made aware. She did not accept responsibility until the second day, BUT still was too lazy to organise to fix the problem. She was only available at reception for a very short period of the day and expected us to stop our tours of the area to fit in with her schedule. I would never recommend this Hotel to anybody because of the service NOT given by the Manager and her slack and disrespectful approach to SERVICE

Great location, then have to walk too far to go to the train. Stop to go back to Milan. Everything I need was there.

Great stay, clean and big room with a great view!

We had a very good stay at this hotel. We really appreciated the welcoming touches like the cold water, delicious coffee, tea, and snacks. We were two adults and two children, although we only booked for three, the hotel was very accommodating since our youngest slept between us, which we truly appreciated. Our room on the second floor was a lovely corner balcony room with a nice view and plenty of hot water. However, there are a few small areas for improvement: 1. The Shower: The showerhead was stuck very low, making it difficult to stand under the water. 2. The Balcony: The chairs and table are very light. During the night, the wind blew them around and they smashed against the window, waking us up. Heavier outdoor furniture or a note advising guests to bring chairs inside when it’s windy would be a great idea. 3. The Door: Even when closed, the door rattled loudly due to the wind. We actually had to prop chairs and pillows against it to stop the noise and keep the draft out. Overall, it’s a wonderful place and we would recommend it!
