Hotel Indigo VENICE - SANT'ELENA by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Disappointed 1. AC water dripping from the ceiling all night 2. Cleaning staff left the tissue paper inside the bidet instead of where it’s supposed to be Not up to the IHG standards I expected

Hotel was nice but was located close to the southern tip of the main area, which was a bit far from the main attractions but quiet and peaceful. My stay was fine but had a rather unpleasant experience at check in. I arrived quite late, and when I arrived I was told that there had been an error with the reservation system and the room (junior suite) I booked was unavailable, the only room available was a deluxe room. Basically I was told by the night staff that I didn't really have any other options and should take the downgrade. The only compensation offered was free breakfast for one day only which was way under the price difference between the rooms. I took the downgrade reluctantly since I it was fairly late and my options were in fact limited, but I did not appreciate the complete lack of empathy the night staff showed. In the morning I went to see the staff to get the situation rectified for the remaining days of my stay which they did so courteously, however I couldn't get rid of the bad taste from the staff on duty the night before. Overall I think the hotel is a bit overpriced given its somewhat inconvenient location, next time I would rather stay somewhere closer to the central area.

location seems OK. Staff is not so friendly. No complimentary breakfast under the situation that we have paid very higher rate than the normal rate.

Bel hotel moderne , personnel très sympathique et professionnel On est à 3 arrêt de Vaporeto de la place San Marco , près d'un parc , calme et frais

The location is great - in a nice peaceful neighborhood away from the crowds. The vaporetto is very convenient. The room was good and the public areas are nicely decorated. The breakfast was plentiful but not good quality. I'd rather have reduced choice. The orange juice tasted like cordial / squash!

The hotel is in a lovely quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of central Venice which was very welcome after a day seeing the sights. The vaporetto stop is a couple of minutes away which makes it very easy to get about. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice to suit all tastes.

Woke up to bed bugs and bites had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night. No refund has been given.

A lovely little hotel. Beautiful bar area, lovely staff and in a really quiet part of Venice, but only 10 minute walk from the centre!

Frühstückauswahl limitiert. Kleine Zimmer aber sehr sauber. Gut zu Fuss erreichbar vom Bahnhof. Stolzer Preis.

Staff at front desk very welcoming , remembered us and helpful

**Pros:** - The location is quite convenient if you're planning to use water taxis, as they are close by. - Beautiful views and scenic surroundings, making it a nice spot to relax. - It’s not in the heart of the city but still has easy access to the main areas via public transportation. **Cons:** - There aren't many dining options nearby, so you’ll likely need to travel to find good restaurants. - The hotel was difficult to locate on our first visit, which added a bit of frustration. - Unfortunately, the staff were not very welcoming. They were blunt and not very helpful when we had questions. - While the hotel itself is quite pretty, the air conditioning situation was a major letdown. We ended up requesting an additional fan, which barely helped in the heat. Overall, it’s an okay choice for a short stay, but there are some issues that need to be addressed to make it a more comfortable experience.

Friendly and helpful staff- good value for the money- will definitely return- good breakfast ( continental not American/ British).
