1.Stunning Views – The scenery is undeniably spectacular. Whether from your room or the restaurant terrace, the views are postcard-perfect — definitely the highlight of the stay. 2. Restaurant Staff with a One-Way Attitude – Hospitality seems to be a foreign concept here. The restaurant staff behave as if they’re doing you a grand favor just by acknowledging your existence. Don’t bother asking for anything off-script — their service runs strictly on a one-way track: from them to you, on their terms, at their pace, and with minimal enthusiasm. Smiles? Not included. 3.No Room Amenities – The rooms are clean but stripped of comfort. No toiletries, no complimentary water, no kettle — just four walls and a bed. Think minimalist, but not in a trendy way.

The Lake view from our comfortable room was absolutely amazing. The Hotel had a calm ambience and staff were friendly. My husband enjoyed swimming in the lake but noted there was no life saving equipment around. Breakfast was ok but they ran out of things quickly. A suggestion would be to provide more basic information in the room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back.

We had an amazing stay right on the water . Rooms are basic but bathrooms renovated . The balcony with water views and the grotto dining area are an extra bonus . Quaint hotel wrapped in history with modernity blended in . Breakfast was good albeit limited . Coffee was 👍👍👍. Great bar and sitting area .

Das Hotel liegt idyllisch am Luganer See nahe der Schweizer Grenze. Die Terasse / Garten zwischen dem Hotel und dem See ist wunderschön angelegt und besticht durch seinen alten Baum- und Strauchbestand. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben in dem dazugehörigen Restaurant auch gespeist. Die Preise für das Zimmer und das Essen sind relativ hoch und damit steigen natürlich auch die Erwartungen. Mankos: Das Bad: □ hübsche Decke □ hübsche Fliesen □ originale Emaille-Badewanne mit rostigem Abfluss □ keine Dusche □ kein Spritzschutz an der Badewanne □ Waschbecken Abfluss sehr schlecht □ fehlende Ablageflächen. Tisch zum Abendessen: □ unser Buchungswunsch einen Tisch direkt am See wurde nicht berücksichtig □ mehrere Tische direkt am See waren reserviert und den ganzen Abend nicht besetzt Essen: □ einfallsreich □ gut □ Ausnahme: Das Hauptgericht “gegrillter Seewolf” für 29 € - hier war die Haut verbrannt Weine: □ Weißwein aus der Region. Nur Kassenschlager Luganer von Ca dei Frati Frühstück: □ sehr guter und frischer Obstsalat □ eine Sorte Käse □ eine Sorte Salami □ eine Sorte Kochschinken □ unterschiedliche Mittelklasse-Marmeladen □ kalte weichgekochte Eier Fazit: Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für das Hotel und das Essen ist nicht in Ordnung.

We really liked this hotel. The people were very nice the restaurant was very good and it is in a beautiful location. If you are looking at staying in a peaceful area away from the chaos of Lugano this is it.

Hotel op leuke locatie, rustig aan het meer en niet hypertoeristisch, parkeergarage aangeraden want zeer weinig parkeergelegenheid in de omgeving van het hotel. Kamers aan renovatie toe. Wij hadden een vroeg vertrek gepland, en hadden hiervoor een ontbijtpakket aangevraagd. Echter kregen we enkel een zakje met warme yoghurt, wat crackers en yoghurt mee terwijl bij overhandiging de verse croissants ons toelachten, en de nachtreceptie zelf een koek at en geen woord Engels verstond. Geen aanrader qua service wel qua ligging/locatie
