The Poet Hotel

The hotel is surprisingly clean, great location, just blocks away from the train station. Front desk staffs are very friendly. Room is spacious and spotless, it’s a relatively new hotel so everything feels fresh. Breakfast is ok ish, but I do love all the interior.

Stayed here to visit cinque Terre as well as boat around the sea. The Poet is a quick walk to the train station and also close to some great restaurants and areas to walk/shop. Hotel is clean and staff were very kind. Rooms are climate controlled and wash refreshing to walk into a cool room at the end of the day. Loved the balcony from the room. Just know that breakfast isn’t included.

Um hotel que eu nao deveria ter ficado. Não tinha café da manha incluido. E reservei sem ver, porque pra mim hotel deve oferecer café. E eu não paguei barato. Fiquem só em Monterosso. Eu estive lá, num hotel fantástico. Nao recomendo esse.

It was only a short ride to Cinque Terra by train, w/ out all of the overcrowding, The town "Spacia" was really quaint and good restaurants kindly excuse spelling trypos ; )

This hotel was the perfect place to stay when going to Cinque Terre if not staying in one of the towns. It was about a 5 minute walk to the train station in a nice area with some good restaurants near by. The hotel staff was great and held onto our bags for us since we arrived prior to check in time. They even put our luggage in our room when it was ready so we wouldn’t have to take it up the stairs.

It was our second stay and it was just as lovely as the first one. The staff is very nice and helpful, and the breakfast is really good. It’s very easy to walk to the centre of the city.

Great hotel, close to central train station and the main street

O hotel é sensacional em todos os pontos, localização, conforto, limpeza, atendimento e café da manhã. Entrou para a minha lista de hotéis preferidos, que é bem seleta. Parabéns a todos, a experiência foi muito boa.

The hotel was nicely decorated and the rooms were equipped with all the necessary amenities. A couple of things to have earned a five star for me would be as easy as providing slippers and a robe in the rooms or limited dining options (e.g., cheese and fruit plates, sandwhiches) for those not wanting to leave the hotel after returning from a long day out. Otherwise, it was great!

Everything was so pleasant about this hotel! The staff were very friendly. Only thing I wish it gave better information were about parking. There were no parking lot in the premise. It’s 500m away. Also I wish it had better amenities.

Super hôtel très propre et moderne, rare en Italie. Service super possibilité de Check in anticipé sans frais. À 5 minutes à pied de la gare super pratique pour prendre le train pour les cinque terre.

Very nice hotel and comfortable beds.

Really nice and helpful staff! They upgraded our room and gave us a delicious bottle of wine. We stayed here when going to cinque terre for the day and they were very helpful with our itinerary.

The poet hotel was very clean due to the hard work of the cleaning staff. The rooms were quite spacious and all facilities toilet, shower, bidet and showers were perfectly functional. The air conditioning was excellent and it was very much needed for our stay in a July 2025 heatwave. The receptionist staff were very helpful and professional. On the downside the breakfast is really boring, we found it had healthy food but nothing that you would expect at a similar priced hotel for breakfast - and the Poet hotel is pricey. For breakfast there was only one staff person for 30 people who I counted. That ratio left them struggling to clean up and reset the tables and also refill the orange juice etc which was often empty. We felt sorry for the breakfast staff who did the best they could. We felt that the breakfast person ( they did change every few days) was under pressure. There is no bar, cafe or day restaurant apart from the breakfast bar and there is a distinct lack of charachter in this very functional hotel. I feel it is so lean it must be a great moneymaker for the owners.

Cozy rooms, friendly staff, god location to travel to Cinque Terre area and excellent breakfast.

The staff at the front desk were not helpful or accommodating especially with the extremely hot weather. My mother is 82 and they didn’t want to provide her with bottled water.
