We were very impressed with the design of the hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was the mattress was super firm, neither of us slept well at night because of this.
I'm assuming this is because they are catering to mainland Chinese (or perhaps Asians in general) tourists who are more used to sleeping on a super firm mattress.
Given that sleep is one of the most important aspect of travel, we're giving it 3 stars.

這次的住宿，徹底改變了我的想法。以前來澳，大多住在金沙城，付著高昂的代價享受著虛榮。但這次決定冒險試試這家老飯店，卻讓人處處驚豔。新中央酒店像是老酒新裝，放眼所及的裝潢設計及擺設，古典卻又實用，例如老式轉盤電話，真的能撥；手機連上飯店內wifi可透過app控制燈光及窗簾開關；床是中等硬度，稍嫌不夠軟；磁浮空調夠冷；免費的飲料小食礦泉水竟每日都會補；電視頻道多又清楚；餐廳服務人員有溫度，早餐套餐式的設計非常好看，也好吃...真要雞蛋裡挑骨頭，就只有這房型沒浴缸，房門隔音略差。飯店的地段好，處在老城區，轉角就是議事亭前地、馳名餐廳、24小時超市及小夜市等，十分接地氣。往後來澳，新中央絕對是首選之一。
