Effective 1 September 2017, hotel guests who are non-Malaysian or non-Permanent Residents of Malaysia are required to pay a tourism tax of MYR 10 nett per night per room for all registered hotels with the Malaysian Government.
In accordance with the Negeri Selangor government requirement, guests are required to pay a Sustainability Tax (Cukai Kelestarian) which is a government-imposed tax of RM5 per room per night. Please note that this tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid directly at the hotel counter upon check-in.
