As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. Please expect that hotel will collect the Tourism Tax from you during check-in at the hotel. The Tourism Tax rate is 10 RM per room per night.

Effective from June 1, 2014, the City Council of Penang will impose a Local Council Tax of MYR 3 per room per night. This fee is payable directly to the hotel upon check-in and is not included in the room rate and taxes stated herein.
Child Policy / Extra Bed • Rates are based on a maximum occupancy of two adults. One child aged 10 years and below is the exception to this. A surcharge of RM 100.00 nett per room night will be applied if the child is aged above 10 years as he/she is considered a second sharer of the room.
• The Hotel does not provide rollaway beds due to the unique nature of the building’s architecture and design.

The staff there were super friendly and helpful just like expected, I love the pre dinner drink session and 24hours lounge.
Understanding the house is a vintage property, the structure condition may not as good as the new built, however some of the hardware facilities were slightly disappointed. Like the bathing robe, and bed sheets.
In general it was a present stay and definitely will revisit Penang.

We were impressed by the hospitality of the hotel staff, especaily the manager Ivan. He was courteous, very responsive and professional, taking good care of us. During our stay, however, we experienced some hiccups and unpleasant surprises with the hotel facilities, but the hotel staff promptly fixed them upto our satisfactiont. The hotel staff often proactively offered good advice to us, e.g. the front desk ladies taught us how to better use the Grab for travelling around in Penang. We will for sure choose The Edision George Town again for our next trip to Penang.

Very friendly staffs and been helped us a lot. Location is good and we love the foods they provided. Only 2 problems are hot water only enough for 1 person when taking shower, so you need to wait about 30 mins to have another one. The night market across the street is noisy at night, so you need to consider of it if you need a quality sleep.

A very classical hotel, very beautiful. There is a food court in front of the hotel, very convenient. Mr. Carl Win is very friendly and kindly introduct the hotel history to me. Stay here, you can also enjoy the lounge snacks and drinks for free. Especially for the happy hour for some wine/beer, CHEERS!

The best service I have ever had!!!! Amazing service. The people here are very friendly and willing to help. Last time I suddenly ran out of my mobile internet in late evening but I had meetings early next day, so it was hard for me to get a new Sim card before my meetings . They lent me a portable Wi-Fi set, so I could keep visiting customers without facing difficulties. The room service and wine testing activity were amazing. If I will come back to Penang, the Edison is definitely my first choice.

從一入住就感受到員工細心且用心的照顧，飯店裡裡外外都很美麗，為每個員工的貼心和親切覺得感動。從飯店步行可以去到很多景點，很方便。在這兒度過很愉快的四晚，導致後來去了吉隆坡後，還念念不忘檳城的美好。
ps.對面紅園美食中心的唱歌聲約在晚上十二點結束，對我這種晚睡的人不造成影響，所以就用不上每天來開夜床都拿出來的耳塞了。
