Strategic location at Gurney Drive with shopping and food nearby. Excellent location for morning and evening walks along the nostalgic Gurney Drive. The staff were wonderful and helpful. I was given an upgrade to Room 102 with frontal seaview and really amazing to get up every morning with a view of the sea during my 5 days 4 nights stay. Will definitely choose this hotel (Room 102) in my next 8 days 7 night trip.

As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. Please expect that hotel will collect the Tourism Tax from you during check-in at the hotel. The Tourism Tax rate is 10 RM per room per night.
Document Policy
Upon check-in, you are required to bring ID Card, Passport. The required documents can be in the form of soft copy.
Deposit Policy
Deposit MYR 100.00 is required upon check-in. The accommodation accepts cash and debit card.

Smoking is allowed only in the designated smoking area.
Pets are not allowed in the accommodation.
Effective 1 September 2017, hotel guests who are non-Malaysian or non-Permanent Residents of Malaysia are required to pay a tourism tax of MYR 10 nett per night per room for all registered hotels with the Malaysian Government. This is in addition to the existing taxes that could be collected at the hotel upon check-in. Please check with the hotel upon arrival regarding these taxes.

Lokasinya sangat strategis, tepat di depan gurney bay. Naik grab ke georgetown kurang lebih 10 menitan, banyak restoran disekitar.
Untuk room cukup luas, kamar mandi bersih hanya minus tidak ada air panas huhu. Cuma ga terlalu dingin sih airnya.

Staff hotel sangat ramah, proses check in / out mudah. Kamar bersih dan rapi, kamar mandi bersih, semua saluran air berjalan dengan baik. Kamar di lantai 3 dengan pemandangan laut yg menarik.
Saran : Untuk saya pribadi rasanya akan lengkap bila hotel ini menyediakan smooking area untuk tamu yg nginap 2-3 malam.

stay at hotel wang gurney was very happy for me with nice views..from my room can see sea view..room is very clean and staff very friendly.. and wang hotel is situation nearby restaurant,bar,cafe..but as a Muslim is very difficult to find it..that area also have halal food but not many have..for me stay 1 night at wang hotel is okey and I really enjoyed..
