I give five stars because the hotel is great . Very good location. You can easily walk around and get what you need . I like the most is the hotel stuffs . They are truly there to help all the guests. Hospitality is about people. They really get that. I appreciated their help. Even the first and the second night my room was just next to the party area . I can heard the music very loud in my bed . I couldn’t sleep well after a long day traveling. They help out to change another quiet room for me . that makes my sleep mush better. I will definitely recommend this Hostel .

绝对差评！二楼房间楼下就是酒店club，每天音乐放到凌晨2点，第一晚和服务员沟通后答应降低音乐声音，可是没用，靠一颗安眠药入眠。第二天晚上十点半沟通，说太吵，根本无法入睡，明早打算提前一天退房，服务员不同意，且音乐声音依旧很大。找Expedia客服沟通依旧无效。半夜12点实在无法忍受音乐，临时预定了万豪，换了酒店。房费是没有退的，两晚都没入住，因为服务员不同意提前退房。还有，淋浴水非常小，完全没办法痛快洗澡，必须用更长时间才能洗完澡，热水也不热，水温很低。如此多好评从何而来不得而知！绝对差评！

The staff are exceptional! Kind, helpful! The front desk staff are unbelievably accommodating, We had to shift rooms due to noise- old folk! And we were handled so well!! The food spectacular, service and all the fun a hotel social can. Bring! Recommend the extra and get the suote for longer stays.

L’hostel est beau et bien situé pour faire le party ! Mais douches/lavabos/ planchers sales dans dortoir. Personnel super gentil et serviable ! Faut aimer la musique à pleine tête de 6 am à la nuit. Je l’ai essayé mais pas du tout mon truc.

Great place!

Enjoyed our stay. Staff were super friendly and outgoing. Special shoutout to Miguel and Dave. Only disappointing thing was that the hostel no longer has social events at the hostel itself, and that the social area closes around 11pm

I enjoyed Mayan Monkey! It was close to a lot of the fun activities and nightlife. The view of the ocean didn’t look so good because of the construction, and my room 206 (co-bedroom) was never cleaned and I was there for 4 nights and five days. However the staff were wonderful, professional and super sweet! Their food and happy hour was awesome. I’ll be back!

Very comfortable beds and great secure storage space for everything. Staff friendly and helpful. Walking distance to small public beach area, bus stops outside for longer trips to ferry, etc. Lovely view over lagoon.

Gutes Hostel

Given that it's a hostel and the price is so low, I wasn't expecting much. But the Mayan Monkey was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming (shout out to Javiera and David), the public areas were lively and engaging, the food and drinks were great, and my bunk was comfortable, cool, and quiet. I was pleasantly surprised, and would definitely stay here again.

Muy limpio y el staff muy cordial. Creo que deben hacer firmar ciertas reglas más estrictas a las personas que comparten cuartos. En primer lugar no entrar si tienen cualquier enfermedad tanto físicas como mentales y no estar bajo la influencia de ninguna droga. Hubo una mujer que no durmió por dos noches y las demás no pudimos descansar tampoco.

I haven't stayed at a hostel in quite some time but this was perfect for me for one night. The staff was great and super accommodating - I also really enjoyed the food (was actually surprised by this) and happy hour! What sold me was it's close proximity to the beach - all around great stay!

J'y suis resté 2 semaines en dortoir, tout était très bien. C'est très propre, bien géré. Les employés(es) travaillent bien. La situation du lieu est excellente (restos tout près, dépanneur 24 h en face, plage à 3 minutes.).Tous les accès à la plage sont surveillés par des miltaires, ainsi, aucun vendeur, aucun chien, aucun truand. L'eau est cristalline et le sable doux et propre. Le bar central est animé les soirs avec de la musique un peu forte. À 23 h, tout s'éteint. Silence total. Il ya de grands clubs à 10 minutes à pied, dont le fameux Coco Bongo. Les points faibles : il n'y a qu'un petit rond pour cuisiner et presque aucun équipement, un vieux grille-pain, et très peu d'ustensiles et de tasses. Le frigo débordait souvent. Aussi, il est interdit d'y mettre des boissons alcooliques, elles sont confisquées. Et vous ne pouvez en boire dans l'auberge, sauf si elles viennent du bar. Pour ma part, je cuisinais mes déjeuners sur place mais vers midi et les soirs, je mangeais au grand restaurant de Chadraui. Le plus plaisant, il est possible d'y acheter du vin et de la bière et d'en consommer au restaurant. Grand choix au menu et cuisiné en direct. On peut voyager avec les bus publics fréquents portant le logo R-2 pour 12 pesos, environ $1. Et pour ce prix, ils se rendent jusqu'au Walmart en ville. On peut payer dans les bus. Pour aller à Gran Plaza, c'est juste les bus R2-15. Magellan du Québec.
